The ending of #YOU on #Netflix did a great job of deconstructing and deromanticizing the pitiable monster. Can we do the same to the perfect victim? They don't need to be blameless for someone else to be guilty, and whether that someone is guilty isn't dependent on the victim's identity.

I've been involved in the comics industry since at least 15. In that time I've had maybe 3 artists fail to deliver. Those are my failures. You cannot abdicate responsibility. Not really. I was wrong to entrust them with that task. It's my fault. I can't pawn it off like I'm not directly responsible.

I'm 40ish. Over the years I've taken in 6 people to help them rebuild their lives. 4 of them failed and I take responsibility to my family for having vouched for them. It was my poor judgment. The last one uses the word burden, but I never did. Their sin and mine was that they didn't even try.

My #direwolf. He used to be car ride neutral but today he was excited. Probably because sometimes he gets a cheeseburger. He did a really good job tracking the bobcat and showing me the signs, so this is one of those occasions. Eli is a good dire wolf and a good #shepherd.

Now that I have my rooster numbers down, my lead rooster, Splash, is managing his boys and each of them guards hens. Splash wanders from group to group, corrects the other roosters, and those roosters keep the hens from fighting. I have have created middle management in chickens.

The chicken with the hole in her skull has almost fully healed. She has been laying eggs this whole time in a cat carrier in my kitchen. Her name used to be Lacy but now it's Brains. She has trained my father to respond to her demanding chicken sounds.

One of my hens didn't go back to the coop. She was on the porch, usually safe. A raccoon took her and ran for the forest. I set my dog, Eli, loose, and it dropped her. When we came back, she was still alive. Just a bite. Two days later she is doing well. I bought Eli a burger for doing a good job.

Story time! The feral pigs have dug up the squirrels' acorn caches multiple times. I am seeing sad squirrels rummaging in the dirt for crumbs. I love watching those squirrels so I feel very sad for them. They canvased my entire yard with nuts so there was no wrong place to dig.

Started writing an r34 of one of my characters for a friend, shipping him with one of her favs. Nothing like this ever gets released. He's the type whose sexuality is at most alluded to or subtly suggested. He also never gets thought bubbles or captions and has no visible mouth when not speaking.
