Rename this nebulae so it's less woke. NGC 3603,3576 Apertura 75Q Quintuplet Refractor QHY Minicam8 SkyWatcher GTI Mount HOO-RGB H 57 x 60s O 23 x 60s R 15 x 30s G 18 x 30s B 18 x 30s Total 1.75 hours

An incredible chain of galaxies, the Markarian’s Chain with… how many galaxies? Image taken using the second setup of the Anysllum Observatory, a telescope R80 with 11 hours of LRGB exposure.

Still catching up with data I've captured over the last few weeks. This is Mars through my 8" SCT a few weeks ago, on a night of quite good seeing. The planet shows as a gibbous phase as it was only 2 weeks from Eastern quadrature (which occurred yesterday, 21st Apr) 🔭

Eastern Sea of Tranquility on 9th April I just missed off the Apollo 11 landing site, which is just off the frame on the right, but I did get crater Aldrin (labelled A) named after Buzz Aldrin! Arago is a nice area, with several lunar domes. Alpha and beta are the most prominent (labelled) 🔭

The triplet of craters Theophilus, Cyrillus and Catharina, a nice and prominent formation. Imaged with an Edge 8" SCT and x2 Barlow 🔭

Un par de imágenes solares en luz blanca de esta mañana con el Mak127. El seeing no era muy bueno pero la AR4062 mostraba algunos detalles interesantes. #solar #astrophotography

Another well known crater in the Moon's southern highlands, Tycho, a relatively young and bright formation. Most conspicuous around full Moon, due to its brightness and system of radiating rays that cross a huge distance over the Moon's surface

One of my favourite areas of the Moon, imaged on March 9th. Plato, and the northern end of Mare Imbrium. So much to see in this area. It's fun to see how many craters you can capture inside Plato's flat floor - think I managed 6 here. 🔭

Colour version of full solar disk animation. 2 hours and 20 minutes compressed into a few seconds. Shot under very poor seeing. #sun #solar #astrophotography #astronomy #space #sunspots #sunhour.

H-alpha image of the Sun from 12 April. Inverted solar disk combined with prominences. Best 10% from 2000 frame video taken at 11:20 BST. Coronado SolarMax 🔭. #astrophotography #solar

Only just got round to processing a lot of data I managed to capture on the 9th March, which had some really steady seeing. A shot of probably my favourite crater to image, Clavius in the southern highlands 🔭

The largest Moon image I've taken 43 Megapixel mosaic of the lunar terminator, taken on 4th April. Good seeing shows some lovely detail if you zoom in 🔭

A backlog of data I'm slowly working through, not helped by my computer starting to groan due to shortage of memory. This is from the start of the month, taken at prime focus with my 8" SCT. I like a crescent Moon! 🔭

Slowly working through my images and data from the last few weeks. This is Plato and the Alpine Valley captured on 7th April. The central rille running through the valley is just visible in places, but is largely lost in the rising sun. 🙏

The Golden Harp Cluster -NGC 1502- is a young open cluster just 5 million years old situated 3500 lightyears far. RGB image done from “Anysllum” Observatory. Interesting star alignments, with color blue, white and red. Beautiful‼️

Another picture taken during 2024 by my brother and I is M27 the Dumbbell nebula. A short exposure again of only 22 mins. Stacked on Siril, processed on GraXpert, affinity photo 2 and Gimp 🙂 #astrophotography

Improving experience with my planetary camera #asi678, now that I have settled on using a 1.5 barlow as the attachment best suited to work well with my 8"SCT telescope set-up. Having fun with the recent #moon #astrophotography #lunar

🔄 Update: Comets in April New comet C/2025 F2 (SWAN) entered the scene, visible at dawn from the Northern Hemisphere and currently at magnitude 8.5. It will continue to brighten throughout the month and could be observed with binoculars 👇 cometografia.es/cometas-visi... #astronomy #cometwatch

Comet #SWAN25F this morning — the dawn sky was less transparent than yesterday, but there it is. I did a stack without stars or satellites to make it clearer. It keeps getting brighter: I measured magnitude 7.8 and a 1.25° ion tail. cometografia.es/nuevo-cometa... #astronomy #cometwatch

M94 is undoubtedly one of the most peculiar galaxies I've ever photographed. That subtle gaseous ring around it gives it a truly striking appearance. More details in my website. www.cielosboreales.com/astrofotogra... #astrophotography

International Space Spation flies into the Sun! 😵 Well, not quite! But it's great fun to see and photograph the #ISS passing in front of the Sun as it orbits earth. I haven't tried a shot like this in years but got the chance on Sunday when a transit was predicted just a few miles from my home 🔭
