We have liftoff.

The new Intel CEO has a Master degree in Nuclear Engineering - perfect for Intel's power-hungry chips.

Over 100 hours of played KCD2 now, and I have a feeling I still have a lot of the main quest left to do. So many side quests...

I finally upgraded the wifi card in my laptop. It is now saturating my NAS's 2.5Gbps Ethernet, so I have no real way to test its full speed - and that was without even using MLO.

Old marketing material that I still keep on my desk.

Right 👇🏾👏🏾😊

Show where you stand. After being the victim of a dictator, they are also now victim of a bully. I'm sure a large majority of my fellow Canadians also stand with Ukraine, more now than ever.

RIP Skype. I still have three chat contacts within it, I mostly use it for IM.

3 years... 😢

x070 series Nvidia cards hitting $900-$1000 USD price range. This is absolutely insane. And the saddest thing is that all manufacturers will still sell out their entire inventories within days, because there are still too many persons with more money than common sense.

Actually my first time running an LLM (ollama does make it super easy). I wasn't expecting to be able to run anything at a usable speed on my RTX 3070 with just 8 GB of VRAM.

Trying out a locally running Deepseek, out of curiosity. 1- Ask for a C program to sort a 2D array. 2- After a long reasoning monologue, it spits out... a Javascript program. 3- I ask it: "Didn't I originally ask you for a C program?" 4- After a short reasoning: "Oh, I see you asked Python." Uh.

Standing up to bullies does work. Now, Americans have 30 days to solve their problem.

The USA have delcared war on my country, as they want us to become their 51st state. Not happening.

Asuswrt-Merlin will no longer support older Wifi 5 devices that were still on the 386_x firmware. That includes devices such as the RT-AC68U, which have been End-of-Life by Asus since April 2024. That means no further firmware releases for these.

Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.3 is now available for supported Wifi 7 devices. This release focuses on merging with a newer GPL, and fixing issues. www.snbforums.com/threads/asus...

I had to do a lot of history rewrite of my Github repo at someone's request to remove files that shouldn't have been there. If you had cloned/forked my repo, you will have to do a fresh clone. Not my idea of how to best finish my vacation, but it is what it is.

Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.3 Beta 1 is now available for supported Wifi 7 devices. This release focuses on merging with a new GPL codebase. Make sure you do read the changelog for important information related to this release. www.snbforums.com/threads/asus...

Microsoft: "Plus, passkeys eliminate forgotten passwords and one-time codes" Uh, and what about lost passkeys? If your passkey is stored on a compromised Microsoft account, or a single device which is lost or dies, then you effectively have the same issue as a lost password.

A lot of very good recommendations from NIST regarding passwords: scytale.ai/resources/20...

"alias sdc=sudo docker compose" Because I'm lazy (and annoyed at typing the whole mouthfull so many times while experimenting/dealing with an update notifier image).

I've been looking for a new game to play. It seems that these days, 75% of the games proposed by Steam's algorithm are Early Access games. I bet most of these aren't looking for user feedback, they are just looking for cashing in before the game is even finished. :(
