Been meaning to post some hobby stuff, but the room I do that in has been in an absolute state for like six months (during which I've been on medical leave, surely a coincidence). I'd love to get it cleaned up but in the meantime I set up a small space in the living room. Then I got sick.

What's the smallest anyone's managed to make a recognizable movie? I'm playing around with svt av1, and I got a 2:30:00 runtime to fit in ~22MB. Granted, it was 192x128, and the mono audio track was 40% of the file, but I must be able to go further. #av1 #ffmpeg

Just watched @hankgreen.bsky.social 's latest video, figured I may as well start using this account to respond. The least conspiratorial incentive I can think of to make a bot like this is as an experiment. Either to optimize engagement or to create a corpus of conversations. Maybe both.
