Finished Shadow Rising, book 4 in my #WOT read-through. 4 Stars. On to Fires of Heaven. I read this while I was in the hospital for brain surgery (I had a large meningioma removed) and there were long swaths of boring to me, offset by unbelievably riveting action scenes and plot twists. #booksky

Wow. The Diplomat Season 2 Episode 2 St. Paul's is one of the greatest episodes of any show ever. Two episodes of The Americans stood above the others, and this has surpassed them. The level and array of conflicting, deep emotions portrayed by the cast was amazing. And the spycraft. Stellar!

Finished The Great Hunt today. 4.5 out of 5 stars. I liked Eye of the World slightly better. My enjoyment of this one was heavily influenced by my watching of the show, especially the damane-related scenes. I probably need to get ahead of the show. #wheeloftime

Keri Russell is amazing. I loved her in The Americans, but she is even better in The Diplomat. What an incredible portrayal of a wonderfully written character. At times laugh out loud funny, witty, riveting, clever. Bravo!
