🪶 Juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker perched at the entrance to a nest/roost. They were extinct in Ireland for 100’s of years before recolonising from the East in 2005 (likely an irruption from Wales.) They are now starting to be found in the most westerly counties. #woodpecker #nature #ireland
