We’ve moved past the "Dead Cat Bounce." Welcome to "Schrödinger’s Curveball". That's where your superannuation gains and losses exist in a superposition until you dare open the app.

What the heck? Did NONE of them EVER watch any of the Jurassic Park movies!!! www.9news.com.au/world/dire-w...

This - just confuses me. We have American companies opening hamburger chains here (they don't always do very well, but they can). And we WILL buy US beef as long as it's really from the US. How you treat your friends is as important as how you treat your enemies. 7news.com.au/news/donald-...

Is ANYONE talking about the fact that the removal of Trump merely puts Vance in as president, and what that would ACTUALLY look like???

The struggle: The news today said that 50 countries were willing to "talk deals" around the new tariffs. Is this a good thing? Leaving aside the whole "negotiating with terrorists" angle, aren't we just playing directly into his hands? But then, if it means that this all goes away...

I find this interesting - & a powerful message. As someone who did find the gym very intimidating & who doesn't have a body shaped as she would like, this was a revelation to me as well. It should be shouted from the rooftops to all; YOU DO YOU - acceptance IS there. www.news.com.au/lifestyle/fi...

Or we could just ensure we buy Australian, or Canadian or European (or Penguin-made?) or any other country not a party to this mess. The problem is that this will really hurt everyday US workers more than the idiots in charge. There are no *good* answers here. www.news.com.au/finance/econ...

Australian Stock Exchange down $40-50 billion this morning after the Trump announcement. My heart goes out to the hardest hit countries & what it must be doing to their economies. I'll bet Trump and Elon still have steak on their menus however. The world is awaiting Wall Street waking up now...

Trump made specific mention that "Australia does not import any US beef" & tried to tie this directly to protectionism, twisting the truth that it's actually biosecurity (diseases we don't have here) concerns which prevent it. This is how you spin stuff kiddies - sprinkle the truth into the big lie!

Kinda feeling this...

Damn! It's really REALLY good to know that it's not just me that feels like a gym session lasts forever... www.theguardian.com/science/2025...

This kind of action is appalling. Even more appalling is that a. they haven't taken it down b. the content creator has an audience for this & c. given current negative opinion of the US, creators might not be so bold as to go international with this kind of practice. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-03...

Is it just me, or are others at the "let's find new and interesting ways of using leftover leftovers" stage of the festive season. :)

My feed tends to be photo heavy as I struggle to remind myself of the beauty in the world around me, against the often bleak news stories of the day. Today, I thought I would share some stunning nature photography from my homeland to help others. #nature #photography www.news.com.au/travel/desti...

I watched Hidden Figures over the weekend; an incredible film about extraordinary women. Some critics called it a "white saviour" story, but I believe that help from the powerful doesn’t in any way diminish the feats that these women with almost no power, achieved through sheer grit & determination.
