I've had a loved one die from the flu. We were both vaccinated, but it was a bad flu year, and vaccination rates for flu are too low for herd immunity. Needless to say, I'm not one of the people who thinks the flu is "no big deal." It can be disabling. It can be fatal. This is terrifying.

Learning from Deaf community that there's no live captioning happening for the oral submissions to Treaty Principles Bill. Deaf Aotearoa NZers were not provided option to have their say in NZSL. Apparently videos will have captions added after but FFS, talk about "equality" 🙄
