A little personal health update: my dad died of a stroke caused by a deformity in the carotid artery. Doc said it's rarely hereditary, except yay, I have it too. He didn't know but since I do, I can have a yearly ultrasound. Also, my thyroid used to have 8 nodules & now has at least 3 times that.

A little personal update. My dad passed in 2016 due to a congenital abnormality in the carotid artery that caused a massive stroke. I finally had mine tested & have the abnormality. Since my cholesterol is perfect & the plaque & stenosis are great for my age, I just need yearly ultrasounds. Whew!

My first pregnancy ended with a spontaneous abortion aka miscarriage. My 2nd, twins, required a D&C, which is considered an abortion procedure, when it became non-viable. As difficult as it was to go through, I'm grateful no one questioned the need or arrested me.
