I was wrong when I said that the seated Labubus are the most fine: I do really like the posture of the standing-up ones because it suggests they’re wearing a dinner jacket, and to which fancy dinner is that fellow going?! We can only wonder.

I would need them to keep still

I have got glue stick all over me somehow, AND I have run out of glue stick. I need to start carrying loads with me, like ammunition in House of the Dead. Instead of killing the zombies, I just gently adhere them to a surface

I shouldn’t have got so aggressive about the glue sticks.

The unicorn glue is nice though, I just think it is stupid to call it that

Also I hate it when people call a sparkly thing / a rainbow thing ‘unicorn’ themed - it isn’t. It’s gauche to associate unicorns with rainbows anyway, don’t make them impale you please

I’m shopping for different types of sparkly glue stick: the ones that look like a cat’s paw: evil because why is it producing slime from its paw? Stop bioengineering slime cat paws

I’m friendly to all forms of Biffy (as long as there are no ballads) but - if you think they got better after Puzzle - that is a hate crime

Biffy Clyro were absolutely possessed when they wrote Infinity Land, I still can’t believe I got to see them play it in full: I was in disbelief about it happening up until the moment it began, because it just seemed too much like a miracle.

been hanging out in the "rhubarb" part of town.

Obviously you are free to ‘condemn’ anything you want to, and it might be great to talk about other things too, but you don’t need a comprehensive grip on every injustice ever committed, as a prerequisite for feeling confident enough to say no to genocide

I have seen a bit too much “if you condemn the actions of Isr@el, why don’t you also condemn [irrelevant thing]?” It’s deflection, as a silencing tactic. If there’s astronomical, deadly violence committed by your own government, endorsed by your media, it’s obviously a priority to talk about that.

I’m really interested in the pink fairy armadillo. It looks so magical and uneasy: fluffy and forever-mysterious. Like a wish.

Getting whiplash listening to bolt thrower

Underland by Robert Macfarlane is a really, really good book. I’m only 133 pages in and every page Rubik’s-cubes my mind into a completely new form. It’s the king of psychogeography books.

Tidying under my bed and I have accumulated a scary amount of conkers. What for? What was I planning?!

The reason why angels look ecstatic in renaissance paintings is because they have foresight and are excited for the nu metal renaissance

If it’s this good on a first listen, what happens in the second one? You turn into glitter and are, very sadly, absorbed into the void

It’s like someone has hacked into the secret control room of nu metal and just started pressing all the buttons. It reminds me of a Disney show where someone was making a pudding out of lots of other puddings. It’s audacious for the ingredients to be so delicious in the sonic palette.

This album is so good. Are they trying to fucking kill us?! open.spotify.com/track/2cQ18g...

On the day when we knew Chris Cornell had died, I walked home from Clapham in the dark listening to this on loop open.spotify.com/track/7boH85...

Biscadora gets really disorderly around snacks, sometimes she catapults through the air so fast that she knocks all the treats out of my hands. Mate, I’m trying to give you a midnight feast of strawberries!

Still love MSPAINT open.spotify.com/track/3wZ5Oq...

I’m usually suspicious of CGI kids’ TV shows, but - the new Asterix is funny. There is this really cool scene where a Druid has been knocked out by a boulder and he’s hallucinating whilst staring directly into the sun.

If anyone is confused - good resources are Save the Children, Amnesty, Owen Jones. I don’t think I know anyone who would think it’s excusable to starve a civilian population for months - kill paramedics and aid workers - shoot children… there is no ‘complex historical context’ that justifies that.

Marching with half a million people yesterday, I kept thinking about the scenes each one of us had seen, of the war crimes the UK continues to support. People were shouting, “stop killing children! Stop killing babies!” Imagine having to say that to your own government. We must stop arming Israel.

It really puzzles and frustrates me when cereal doesn’t have a little creature to be its custodian. Good to see the tradition upheld somewhere. ✨

I just found out you can grow borage and violets to eat, and got so excited - I’m absolutely going to grow some - calendula too - to have on cakes. Long long ago I had to go to hospital for eating flowers for a dare, well: look at me now. A gardener.

This bunny is so elite

I just watched her debut when she appears in a big storm of lightning: mad scenes. Cyclone is the best thing ever 💫

I once met a man at 4am when I was trying to get into a 24 hour hotel gym in Canada - we drank stolen beer together in the lobby - and he told me the only music he EVER listened to was Aesop Rock.

Foolish in a fun way, like a court jester

Just this very second found out that there’s a Backxwash album I didn’t know about, I’m excited and also feeling a bit foolish

There comes a moment in life, when you find out that your cousin has been playing the tuba on the TV show This Morning! In his soldier band! In his fluffy hat! Mad times. Very excited.

I don’t always earn my own respect, though I’m trying to. I think people are like huskies and they become aggressive when there aren’t proper leaders in charge, and that’s true of me. You see Pope Francis holding a lamb and just, we can breathe for a second. A real one.

I have an odd and vicissitudinous relationship with Christian culture but, looking at old pictures of Pope Francis, I could cry with affectionate respect. I love that he stood up for Gaza, I love that he didn’t hoard wealth. I love his cutie pie smile.

the new york sewer rats have finally elected a new rat pope
