So, we have DNA results on our girls. These results explain so much. I would recommend it for anyone adopting a dog. They are definitely sisters from the same litter. Our pitsky doodle girls.

Puppies were found. Just a few blocks away. Such sweet girls and all. On another note, I think I am ready to start writing and teaching again.

Sad times. These ladies escaped our yard and are now in the wind, on walk about somewhere in Memphis. Come home ladies. We have food!

Hamilton on stage at the Orpheum in Memphis. Seriously....worth the fear of heights.

Time flies. 10 weeks ago, these girls were tiny. Now they dominate the bed. I guess I signed up for bigger dogs than I thought.

These girls have grown a ton. Anyone have any ideas what breed(s) they might be?

I'm going to focus on this. Why? Because life is too short to fret. Of course, be prepared. Expect the worst and hope for the best and all that jazz. But honestly... Doomed to repeat a past we won't learn from. That was a horrible sentence from a writer and editor.

Alright, we love a good update. The dogs are conspiring to escape their quarantine area. Successful escapes are at 5 in the last 48 hours. It's only one more day pups. I know they don't understand but hey, one can dream that they do - right?

It's been one week. I am too old to start over. The puppies are unaware. On a side note - anyone have any ideas as to what breed these cute girls are?

That moment when you are acutely aware that puppies are like babies - and realizing you didn't want another baby. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger and really, who could say no to these cute girls.

Meet Blues Clues and Coco Puff. We've talked about getting a dog for years when these two abandoned puppies showed up on our doorstep, hungry and shivering. Sometimes I think I am too nice of a person.

Sometimes, you just throw up your hands and wish it was to raise the roof. Instead, its an admission of defeat for the day has defeated you...and so has your writing.

Lazy Sundays are my fave. What day of the week is your favorite?

Day one - attempting to put my best thoughts to the page.

Today is the day we celebrate presidents. But who specifically should we think about? Many presidents, many reasons to like and dislike every one of them. A history conundrum.

Alright - riddle me this. When is good enough, good enough?

Soooooo...I had a thought...but I am uncertain where it went.

That time you woke up and realized the roads are empty because everyone is resting up for the Super Bowl. You didn't even know it was Sunday.

There are times I feel I shouldn't be surprised by others' stupidity and yet I am still surprised every time.

You ever wonder how much trouble you would be in if thought bubbles appeared over your head like they do in comics?

Well dang - that's snow in the Mid-South. Not a sprinkling like the once a year thing you might see, but actual prolonged snow. Color me surprised and not in a pleasant way.

If ever there was a moment in time for a pause, I feel that moment is now.

I don't post much but if you get the chance, see the stage show The Illusionists. It's fun and cheesy and just the right amount of inspiration for a comfy novel.

Hello world!
