If a reader clicks "buy" on a ebook, they own that book the same way a reader buys a hard copy of a book. The idea that readers are only leasing ebooks when they clearly clicked the "buy" option is asinine. Buying though doesn't give the right to pirate the books out. It never has, it never will.

If a national protest occurs regarding Tiktock, and the right to free speech occurs throughout major cities in the US, I won't be surprised. One thing I did learn that's a bit comforting is that other countries where it's not banned can still view content by US members.

Heard earlier that there are people complaining about ideas being stolen, when it turns out they're just complaining about other authors writing under the same theme. Books about dragonriders, vampire hunter books, humans with magical powers are themes and can be used over and over by any author.

It's hard to believe that I'm still working on the final edits of my sci-fi Turning the Tide, a novel I began in 2012, with the cover purchased between 2020 and 2021. I want to finish this novel so bad I can taste it, but I think a part of me is afraid to, and there's no reason for me to be so.

Because of a broken foot, I'm off work for the next four weeks, and that's going to hit me hard financially, particularly when I have bills to pay and animals to feed. I have books available on Amazon, but unless I get a ton of sales, I won't make much money off them. This is going to be a struggle.

Funny... I injured my foot in late November and the hospital diagnosed it as a bad sprain when X-rays showed no broken bones. Fast forward to today and an ortho doctor had an MRI done on the same foot that's been causing me pain since then, and it's discovered that I actually fractured my foot.

So, I'm trying a different type of calming collar; this one is purple colored instead of white, and unlike the previous collar there's a distinctive smell to it. I'm also trying hemp for cats on him, as well as moved the feliway diffusers away from the windows. Fingers crossed this helps calm him.
