Folks trying to save USAID are trying to counterprogram Musk's $40 million Super Bowl ad. They're asking everyone to share this video as widely as you can today: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqUE...

Truth. Spread the facts because #FactsMatter.

THIS!!!

THIS is what democracy looks like. My wife Cheryl and I took part in a 100-person protest outside Ted Budd’s (R-NC) in Asheville. We were unable to get into the senator’s office. It was notable, however, that some federal employees came out of their offices to thank us for fighting for them.

This is the energy we need in the Senate right now. President Trump can’t do blatantly illegal things and expect a normal confirmation process. He wants to screw our systems to enrich corrupt billionaires? We will defy the norms for THE PEOPLE.

Dear Democratic Leaders: here’s a free idea, send members of congress into the buildings where Elons people are and see what they’re doing. Dare them to stop you. Do something

@kenmartin.bsky.social - To stop Musk’s illegal data breach of America’s checkbook, we need pressure to come from 47’s “people.” “They don’t know what’s happening because their “news” isn’t reporting it. RIGHT NOW, PACs should be airing ads on Fox affiliates in every red state: /1 of /2

In two weeks Trump has: -Released the J6 prisoners who violently assaulted cops to overturn an election. -Started a trade war with allies, but gave China a light touch. -Turned over the entire government to the unelected billionaire who ruined this platform—including the Treasury payment system.

This amounts to the most significant data leak in cyber history. Private individuals in the data business now have access to your Social Security information. This violates privacy laws in every state. Hopefully, state AGs will file suit & pursue criminal charges. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/01/u...

Happening in my home town. Thanks to INDEPENDENT, local news. Otherwise, with the CDC gagged, how in the world was I supposed to know that the Bird Flu epidemic had hit my town?

In preview of my Monday morning piece, I'm going to say a little bit about why this is so concerning. This is not some "economy" thing. Its first & foremost the possibility that our legal order is modified so the law of the land is defined by Elon Musk at Treasury www.nytimes.com/2025/02/01/u...

?s I would be asking 47 right now: 1. Who was the individual acting as chief of the FAA on Jan. 30? 2. Were any of the principles involved in the crash, i.e. the air traffic controller, the helicopter crew chief, or the AA pilot women, people of color, or anything other than cisgender white men? 1/

Today, I wrote to my U.S. senators re: the Executive Order illegally banning birthright citizenship. On the left is the response I got back from Senator Ted Budd (R-NC). On the right, is what I wrote back. Senators do not work for the Executive branch. They work for we, the people. Period.

Now seems like a great time to revisit the keynote speech I gave 18 months ago at the Golden Crown Literary Society annual conference. To our trans, nonbinary, and LGBTQ+ siblings. I see you. I stand with you. Always. youtu.be/gGSWKYizYOA?...
