A chef I am not. Went to make eggs and rice, but discovered we don’t have eggs. Thankfully, I had frozen broccoli and just bought this barbacoa beef in sauce yesterday thanks to a BOGO deal, and voila! A Mexican beef bowl! 😂 Normally, I can’t throw a meal together, so I’m pretty happy.

A co-worker loved this movie from her childhood. We’re around the same age and I’d never heard of it, so I watched it. It’s like Cabbage Patch dolls and LABYRINTH, but in fever dream form. The little girl’s Southern accent is soooo thick, and she’s the only one with an accent. THE HUGGA BUNCH MOVIE.

One thing I noticed I don’t start with when brainstorming is the stakes. I usually start with my MCs because they’re fun. This time, I have the barest bones ideas for MCs, but I’m putting them aside briefly to figure out my stakes. That’s really the meat of the story/query that needs to come across.

I was talking to my boss yesterday morning and I asked a question using the word "discrepancy" instead of "discretion," and then she responded with a sentence using "discretion" and that's when it clicked that I used a word other than the one I meant and yes I AM in fact still thinking about this.
