I think my absolute favorite trope is when a piece of media addresses the audience. Like when Monika starts addressing the player directly. When a book steps out of its setting and gets a little too meta. That and finding a long dead alien race and have to figure out what killed them. It's my crack.

I discovered that BTs can die. I literally rage quit the game because there was a part of the map that was too congested with them for me to get through.
