Yup

We need Pete Buttigieg as a clear messenger, more than ever.

If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general. If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

60 MINUTES: “Utter nonsense. The most accountable aid agency in the world is USAID… DOGE fired their top 58 officials within an hour of arriving…” This was never about efficiency. Full: www.instagram.com/reel/DGLXa9r...

When a judge stops the president from doing something illegal, that’s not a “threat to democracy,” that’s a check on the president’s power. That's the whole damn point.

Please use this easy resource to speak out; every little bit helps.

“The Republicans have the power to make the changes they want through the exercise of their constitutional power, but they are not doing so. This seems in part because Trump and his MAGA supporters want to establish the idea that the president cannot be checked.”

"Vance had a chance to defend his OWN family, and he opted to defend the Indian-hating bigot instead. Where are the balls on these Republican men? ... Elon wants his DOGE kid who hates Indians back and Vance does his bidding... Do they castrate these guys at the door of the RNC?"

True.

The latest from @dell.bsky.social @wired.com: A lawsuit alleges that Elon Musk’s "associates illegally connected a server [at OPM] to a government network for the purposes of harvesting information, including the names and email accounts of federal employees." www.wired.com/story/federa...

This isn't a fight that will be settled in the halls of Congress. The oligarchs own GOP Congress. This is a fight that will be settled in the streets. Democrats, Republicans, disillusioned MAGA & independents locking arms. Give GOP Congress something to fear more than the oligarchs. The people.

THANK YOU! This action is inspiring! @maxwellfrost.bsky.social @jasmineforus.bsky.social @sethmagaziner.bsky.social

Murphy: "We need to act like a real opposition party in the middle of a constitutional and democracy crisis. That means we should not be moving forward nominees or legislation in the Senate. Ds should not be giving votes to nominee or legislation in the Senate until Rs get serious about this crisis"

The United States Military Academy has just eliminated all Cadet clubs and activities for POC. Most of these have existed for decades like the Society of Black Engineers. They were there when I was a Cadet in 1987. All of the religious ones remain. This isn’t DEI. It’s white Christian Nationalism.

This resonates deeply. 👇

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has returned from a trip to El Salvador where he secured an agreement from that country's president to accept deportees from the U.S. of any nationality — including American citizens — offering to hold them in the country's sprawling maximum-security facility…

Jeffries: The constitution requires the president has the responsibility to take care that the laws are faithfully executed. Spending agreements passed through the appropriations process are law. When those laws are violated, the constitution has been violated.

In 2016 the NYT ran multiple front page stories page about the grave national security risk of Hillary Clinton's server. Today's front page, and nary a mention of the successful "plutocratic coup" (said by a sitting House member) or "constitutional crisis (said by a sitting Senator) unfolding

🚨Trump is pausing his proposed 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico—but only after forcing meaningless concessions. Canada had to create a “fentanyl czar” (a position they already had, just renamed), and Mexico had to commit 10,000 troops to the border (where they already have 15,000).

Is it too much to ask for? #universalhealthcarenow

I’m thinking I might just prefer for the Republicans to have a majority during FOTUS’ term… Perhaps things really need to get bad without their ability to place blame on Dems in order for people to wake up and break out of the MAGA cult. Thoughts?

Boom!! That’s how it’s done!! 🇲🇽 🇨🇦

Yes

The USA has had two major plane crashes in the last 4 days. The USA had previously not suffered a major plane crash for 16 years. ‘DEI’ programs have existed for decades. So what was it that changed in the last 14 days or so to suddenly cause so many crashes?

the point is not that it's fast -- the point it that it's systematic. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/01/o...

I’m going to put my rich guy hat on and say I hope that Mexico and Canada issue equal, retaliatory tariffs and stick to them for an extended period. I apologize to all the people it will cost money and the businesses it will hurt. But it’s the only way for tariffs to be seen for what they are

“This February 1, neither the Pentagon nor the State Department will recognize Black History Month”

“His administration seems to be trying to replace the government Americans have created through their representatives over centuries to promote the interests of all Americans with a group of white men who can operate as they see best, without restraint.”

No matter the incompetencies of the Trump presidency, it appears the answer will be: You might not like what we’re doing, but don’t you hate Democrats more?

Trump “…didn't seek to try to convince Americans that this was his agenda. He acted as if he didn't have anything to do with Project 2025, when we know and have seen that he's really seeking to accelerate that agenda.”

From USA Facts… Average household wealth by income bracket in Q2 2024:

News: The three Democratic members of the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board—a government panel that reviews national-security surveillance programs for privacy implications—were fired today after refusing to resign as instructed last week by the White House.

“It’s time for Americans, even the ones who supported Trump, to raise their voices and say they didn’t vote for any of this, before their voices don’t matter at all.”
