I wish local news sites would offer some other way to read their articles besides a full subscription. I don't live in West Australia, for example, but I would pay a small fee to read a single article if it's relevant to me.

Good morning Happy Earth Day

Does anyone do high quality resin craft work and take commissions?

Alastair went to his first Renaissance festival today

We took Alastair to Magic Mountain on Thursday. It's better than Knottsberry Farm in that they didn't outright forbid us from going on rides, but I think that's mostly because it's staffed by teenagers. Alastair rode Goliath, a super intense ride, but was forbidden the mellow swinging ship ride.

wonder how much of my life i've wasted scrubbing videos because every guide is a video now

“It’s amazing that others in this room underwrote electing a man who, in the last week, single-handedly destroyed all of American science. It’s amazing how much good science you can destroy with $320 million and RFK Jr, very fast.” — Seth Rogen’s censored remarks presenting the Breakthrough Prize

Very true. Also intentionally not making some asset perfect because then you would have to make everything else perfect for it to look right

the thing about gamedev (or any development really) is that there will always be a million ways that you could have done it better, and a million ways that your way is bad… but the point is that you actually ship something. perfection means it never gets done. so just make it! who cares how.

I haven't noticed too many people complaining about the government costing them thousands of dollars in investments just before asking them to pay thousands of dollars in taxes. Wondering if there just isn't much overlap between this two groups?

Being between two places is where you most truly exist.

Ubisoft released a color blind simulation tool today, called UbiChroma. The free and open source tool enables developers to test for color blind accessibility issues in real-time. Fitting existing workflows, it can help catch color blind issues early. caniplaythat.com/2025/04/14/u...

Medieval inspired demon - time for some color!

It has come to my attention that most of bluesky has never laid eyes or ears on the greatest full motion video intro in game history. I am here to remedy this.

Here's the in-game inspiration for Lolife's cover art. Rounding up the sheep into their pen wasn't originally planned as a feature but came about from how some creatures will run away from the player. It's not necessary, but it's fun! #playdate #indiegame

heads up horror devs, i bothered to look up the eternal darkness sanity system patent and apparently it expired in 2021 go wild patents.google.com/patent/US693...

There are a few cat magnets still available in my shop! Each is hand painted and cast from a clay model I made. www.hannahcomstock.com/store

Members of Congress should never be allowed to trade stocks. Period.

My wife and I just found out we were Facebook friends with someone who is now in jail for attempting to kill her husband. We heard about it on some random "For You" reel. This person paid to have her husband shot 9 times and I was like asking her for advice on what to do when my kid has a cold.

Can we have some kind of Internal Affairs for the government? Like the guys that you report dirty cops to, but for DC?

i miss the early internet. people were like “you gotta see this dude. this cat sure is long.” and they were right. it was really long. it never shoulda gotten any more complicated than that.

Wondering if they could layer one of those transparent LCD screens atop an e-ink to save battery when you don't need color/speed.
