! this! it really is a major pet peeve of mine. but also i think the one i see conflated most often even among writers who write dominant bottoms and submissive tops, is using “vers” and “switch” interchangeably. pls don’t do that either! there are ppl who are dom vers, or switch bottoms, etc.
