Why did I wake up in the middle of the night and imagine Mark Cuban and Pete Buttigieg at the top of the ticket and Kamala as attorney general and Mark Kelly as secretary of defense? Usually I am just dreaming that I win the lottery.

2024, having just moved into a new neighborhood, my verse was John 1:14, where Jesus moved into the neighborhood and hung out with us. I decided to start a home church. 9 neighbors said cool and after two months it was dead. This year my verse is simpler: Love God and Love Others.

There are at least 17 different holidays celebrated this time of year. There is nothing wrong with your cashier, server, or whoever being inclusive. Spread kindness, not hate. Even the kids understood inclusivity.

Watched my favorite Christmas time(and on my top five all time) movie yesterday. Nobody’s Fool with Paul Newman and Jessica Tandy in her final movie. Love it. If anyone asks you if Bruce Willis was ever in a Christmas movie, say yes and point to this classic. Enjoy the characters and message.

College playoffs. Very simple. Eight 16 team conferences. Eight team divisions. Top two play championship game. Winners go to eight team playoffs. Top seven bowl sites rotate hosting rounds. Others play in other bowls. To ND, you have to be in a conference!
