I'm just sitting here, disgusted. I left the US as a home almost 8 years ago, but I never left my love for the place and people. I can't do anything more than be shocked and horrified by what is happening, but I take refuge in the hope that Americans are still mostly good.

My mom is dying and I have to live with the fact that I probably will have to say goodbye to my parents from across the Atlantic Ocean. My mother is in the hospital with heart failure, and my father won't survive long without her. 😭 I don't know what to do.

It's not the circumstances of the death of the UHC CEO that were shocking. Lots of people are murdered in the daytime, on a street, or by guns. It's the fact that a rich man was killed this way. We don't expect rich people to die like that. Just everyone else.
