VERY FUN NEWS! ✨ SAG-AFTRA's Game Jam Waiver is now publicly available!! There's no way I can fit absolutely everything I want to say about it in 300 characters—both about how to use the waiver/why it's so neat + how absurdly grateful I am to the folks who helped make it a thing—but it's SO cool.

Speaking about defrosting the DAW after the break, we've got a tiny update for Undergrowth 🏔️❄️ We're one part done with breaking auto-voicing in Ren'Py and then now we're in the middle of unbreaking them with voice tags whilst also walkie-fying Arc 1 & 2, then we'll have to hope that nothing breaks

Early on in the strike, @teebeevo.bsky.social fundamentally altered how I say "Side Letter Six" courtesy of a *very* silly video, and I honestly appreciate that so much because it's mentally "sticky" enough (with or without said video) that folks I'm explaining it to tend to remember it as well! 🤣

If you played the 1.0 demo of "Undergrowth" (or even if you didn't) and thought "What was happening on the days that got skipped in Arc 1 + Arc 2?" Good news: 2.0 added them! We don't have an easy method for players to jump back and view those new scenes (for now), though, so… youtu.be/ZyJ0-ah8FK4

Looking back at the Miro board this morning made me nervous and excited for when I have to write burst three of Undergrowth's development. The branching of dialogue in all the following scenes in Arc 4/5 are about to get more and more intricate as the story continues 😈

In total/across both development bursts, I've directed ~75hr of sessions for "Undergrowth." This go 'round, I implemented >5000 lines of code for 37 in-game days…which is just stuff added in 2.0. Both stats are tiny relative to the writing, audio-work, & art done by my teammates. It's a BIG game!!

For anyone curious: The strike is very much still ongoing. Union performers streaming any games they performed in (except for non-strikeable "side letter 6" games or games signed to SAG-AFTRA Tiered Budget or Interim agreements) are violating the strike and risk disciplinary measures.
