Just your friendly neighborhood grizzly bear that's living in the urban wilds.

I've dabbled in Minecraft a time or two though I'm more of a blast-em-up "twitch" gamer. I recently wondered what I'd look like as a character in that blocky world so to Bing AI I went. ;D

Didn't earn enough in tips this week to make my nut in terms of expenses. Fortunately I've hoarded my past tips like Scrooge and have vast reserves to dip into. Hopefully things should improve soon.

Telephone the Dutch Angel Dragon is very well known and very well liked among anthro circles, but I didn't know s/he garnered his/her own suite at conventions!

Today at Totally 80s we had our first so called "Fur Ball" in which our guests were encouraged to dress up as their favorite animal (I for obvious reasons went as myself). Would have been fun had more come as anthro animals but as it turns out few did. :(

*yawn* Now you've woken me up from my nap, what thing of earth shattering importance do you want from me? ./

I've seen the Hyena Agenda booths at some of the conventions I've attended. They seem to be interested in selling various swag, perhaps to finance their operations. To be honest I don't know if there's a real agenda behind their swag sales or what it entails.;/

Came across this gent at Further Confusion 2018. All are welcome at our anthro conventions though I don't really know what a Star Fleet officer was doing there-recon perhaps?

After work today I went to a Grooming Salon for some relaxation. You just lay there on a comfy table while an attendant grooms your fur and gives your pelt such a wonderful massage. *sigh*

March 23th is World Bear Day, a day set aside to celebrate bears of all kinds (panda, grizzly, etc) and to remind one that they should be protected. You humans! Don't you know that EVERY DAY is WORLD BEAR DAY??? We should be celebrated and protected 24/7/365! ;D

Found this near the hotel check in desk during Midwest FurFest 2015. What was it? I don't know and I didn't want to know-a costume used by the hotel to do some undercover work in the convention perhaps?

Here's a shot of a roommate of mine for Further Confusion 2018. His name was Yama Bunny and you couldn't have asked for a better roomie-quiet, low key and not a party animal much like myself.

Al Hirschfeld was an artist and caricaturist in the golden years of Hollywood. To be sketched by him meant you had made it as an actor or celebrity. Today I was wondering how I'd look being sketched by Hirschfeld and went to Bing AI Picture Generator to find out. I think I look rather swell.

Back in 2018, Further Confusion, an anthro convention out of San Jose California was celebrating its 20th anniversary and it had a some of the promotional swag it had given away over the years on display.

Never let it be said that we anthros don't have a sense of humor. Found this little sign at Further Confusion 2018.

Stopped by the Totally 80s bar after my shift today for a few libations before heading home. Our barkeep Cliff makes mean Arnold Palmers-sweet with a lot of kick just the way I like 'em.

Shoes? I don't wear 'em. First where can I find shoes that fit my size 13 clodhoppers (with razer tipped nails at the end, don't forget). For another thing it's durned difficult for a bear as big as me to reach down and tie the laces. :/

Tonight I covered the hosting position for DJ Vybes' set. Good choice! Due to some VERY generous tippers, I earned roughly in this one night that I normally earn in a week.

Anthro cons are a world unto themselves, but we do help out outsiders. At Further Confusion 2015 for example, we were helping San Diego bid on Worldcon.

Had big plans for today. Wanted to get up early, go out and do some grocery shopping before coming home and cooking myself a big meal. But my lazy bear nature kicked in. Slept in 'till 1 pm, had groceries delivered and ordered myself a pizza. :/

Anthros come in all shapes, sizes and species. An example of this is the parrot seen here.

For people who know both Zootopia and Beastars, I'll leave it to you to decide if this is true or not.

Used to be pretty good on the hula hoop as a cub so I decided to buy one and give it another try. Shouldn't have bothered. Wasn't long before I found myself tripping on the thing and falling flat on my face in embarrassment! :/

Just to let you know that I now have a "den" on Flickr. Look me up there as Baarorso!

If you've ever attended a convention, you may recall that they once had "Internet Rooms" where you could surf the internet, shoot out e-mails, etc.

Shall we dance? (Shot at Arizona Fur Con 2019.)

You humans have your so called "animal crackers" and we anthros have....well...you know! ;D

We anthros are quite inclusive, even inviting the My Little Pony Magical Friendship Ponies to party with us. ;D

Welcome to Club Paws, the hottest club for anthros in town. May I check your coat? What's that you say? Your coat's kind of attached to you? Well then, never mind.;-D

Today I made plans to attend Sabotencon, a local gaming/anime convention that will be held later this year. While not a full fledged convention for anthros, I'm assured that plenty will be in attendance. Can't wait!

Big or small, I've found that felines all over have the same weakness-YARN! ;D

Shot this during registration at Further Confusion. I used to go there all the time but haven't in years since I've stuck to local conventions. I have notions of going back but I have a sneaking suspicion that the convention may have grown a wee bit too big for its britches.

You might think it was fun for my elementary school chums to play with a big teddy bear (me, in other words) but my sheer size made that hard if not impossible at times.;-D

My first visit to The Black Bear Diner was a memorable experience. The food was good (and reasonably priced) and everyone was amazed that I, a real bear would choose to dine there. It was definitely one of those places where i could return again and again for a good meal.

As you know I love the Country Bear Jamboree and have a few themed items from said now closed attraction. This Big Al coin bank is one of them. It's nice but having a crush on Trixie I wish that there would be an item or two featuring her. *sigh*

Normally I'm an inside bear but today ventured out back of my house to do a little swim in the ocean. I had reservations-it's not something I do daily but found it to be quite an enjoyable experience and free from the troubles I was expecting.

The stores were selling out the last of their Valentine's Day candy and I loaded up on my fair share. Cracked open one box and I couldn't stop until my belly was full to bursting! *UGH!*

Was at Midwest Fur Fest 2006 when I caught these goofballs snuggling. They didn't seem to be interested in "getting a den" for privacy. :/

Got home from work today and decided to treat myself by making a root beer float. There's nothing like sweet, smooth root beer combined with sweet creamy vanilla ice cream and served in a frosted mug. *sigh*

Shot a Arizona Fur Con 2023. An anthro checking in at the convention.

I'm embarrassed to admit this, but being covered with fur I'm subject to the same attacks of ticks and fleas as any other animal and require flea dip and tick dip just as they do. Thank goodness i can get what I need online without having to get sour looks from fellow shoppers.

This was shot at Painted Desert Fur Con and is just a sampling of the donated items we anthros auction off to aid in the feeding and care of our feral brethern.

What did this bear do for Valentine's Day? I went out to dinner with Cora, a good friend of mine. Had some great food while we caught each other up to what was new.

Took part in a "fur vacuuming" session today. Thought it would remove some fleas and dead pelt and it did. But it was also extremely hard to stay still without giggling because it tickled so much!

I've heard of "shopping 'till you drop" but this?????? *HOOO!*

One of the highlights of a convention from years past was attending an Animal Crossing New Horizons panel run by none other than Tom Nook Himself!

I've heard of "putting on the dog" but this? ;D
