One might assume that an alderperson would be more likely to vote for a speed limit reduction if their constituents were more exposed to traffic violence. That was NOT the case for yesterday's vote to reduce Chicago's default speed limit from 30 to 25.

I've never seen so many mobilizations, rallies and actions, honestly. They're happening pretty constantly, in cities but also in small towns and in every single state. They're not getting tons of coverage, but they're happening, and they're growing. Join one, or start one, you're not alone in this.
