@janecasey.bsky.social Oh my goodness, what a book! Was trying to read it slowly to savour it but read the second half in a day. Couldn’t put it down! So gripping, twisty and wondering constantly which characters you could trust. Just fab!

On my profile there’s a still of the man with the shopping bags halting a line of tanks in Tiananmen Sq because on 4/6/89 I smuggled the video out of the Beijing Hotel & lay for 30 mins in the gutter in Changan Ave with bullets flying round me before we sent them off to be broadcast round the world.
