Is Being Undocumented a Crime? 🔹 Overstaying a visa = a civil violation, not a crime. 🔹 Crossing the border w/o permission = a federal offense, but not a violent crime. 🔹 Illegal reentry after deportation = a federal offense. So… in that same logic - speeding ticket would make us criminals too.
