I feel another Lucy and the football moment on the horizon.

It's all in the fascist playbook but to witness it happening in America is some dystopian shit.

As they must...

If defunding Alzheimer's research and cancer research doesn't piss people off I'm not sure that anything will.

It's both astonishing and completely predictable that Lynch doesn't know this thing that most people learned in junior high biology.

Retiring in May. Was really hoping for simpler times as I ride off into the 🌇.

Today was not a good day. My wife works with special needs children at an elementary school in Iowa.

Stella enjoys the furry blanket experience.

When modern Republican politicians brag about the anti-slavery roots of the party, does that just confuse the majority of modern Republicans?

Teacher, when you say that slavery was the cause of the Civil War, it hurts my feelings.

The Long Kiss Goodnight is on Pluto if you don't mind lots of commercials.

Have to wonder how many NBA general managers are kicking themselves for not selecting Trayce Jackson-Davis.

"They're poisoning the blood of our country." Today's edition of who said it, Trump or Hitler?

Cat on a Hat I think the old military hat was left on the counter by my 9 year old grandson.

I assume that well educated people who plan to vote for Trump know that racist assholes overwhelmingly support Trump. So, do they not realize that they are voting to empower racist assholes, or do they not care?

The socialists, liberals and centrists refused to cooperate, once again allowing the fascists to prevail...

Spolnet. That is all.

Yes Liz, Trump is an existential threat to America.

A friend and former colleague, and really big Alabama football fan recently passed away, so I find myself rooting for Alabama - not an easy thing to do... Anyway, I'm sure most who are watching the game realize there is a very good chance the two teams will see each other again.

I'm just gonna assume that people who voted against Santos expulsion have something to hide.

If you're not listening to The Pogues this morning, why not?

Around 9 years ago. Mabel was about 1 year old in this picture, & Stella a bit older had recently joined the family. The old guy on the floor was Sam, a very good boy who I still miss every day. These beautiful souls are a daily reminder of why someone who doesn't like dogs should never be trusted.

Sums up my feelings quite well.

I'm being watched.

Feeling a bit disheveled today.

Contemplating mortality... Know several people fighting cancer. One who passed last year. Went to a visitation for a former colleague tonight. She was kind of a force of nature. Only 69, but kidney disease led to transplant a few years ago. Just seems weird she's gone.

Fascism on the move in Argentina. Fascism - people believing they are more powerful when actually giving up control.

We operate on a 3 term system, or a quarter system if you count summer. Anyway, this is the weekend when I get to finish up all fall term grading and make sure all courses are ready to go Monday morning. Serenity Now!

People who grew up in my neighborhood were sometimes referred to as river rats, so I suppose the vermin label could apply...?

The Usual Dipshts - quite a group.

Why does the NY. Times hate America? I suppose it helped them sell a few more print editions.
