Rosa Old Wollerton Hall for #RoseWednesday #GardeningFeed

All seen whilst out running yesterday around the village and the coastal path here in S Wales. #FlowersOnFriday #Running #Spring

A small butterfly and a large bumble bee enjoying the sedum flowers last September for #InsectThursday #GardeningFeed

This is Rosa Scentimental for #RoseWednesday #GardeningFeed

Today’s baking includes a batch of molasses spice cookies and 2 hop miche loaves from a recipe on The Perfect Loaf website. #Baking #Bread #Cookies

Well the sun has finally made it out after over a week of grey skies. Still cold but due to warm up over the next couple of days. Pictures all taken in the garden yesterday showing that spring is nearly here. #GardeningFeed #Flowers #Spring

#Teslaswasticars

This is a selection of plants from last summer’s garden. Salvias, dahlias, Korean chrysanthemums and zantedeschia. All for #SevenOnSunday #GardeningFeed #Flowers

The first picture is a cyanocrocus from the greenhouse at the moment. Couldn’t resist as just love the vibrant blue. The other pictures are all from the garden last summer. #FlowersOnFriday #GardeningFeed

This is clematis Mrs N Thompson for #ClematisThursday #Flowers #GardeningFeed

A ladybird on a cornflower from last summer for #InsectThursday

For this week’s #RoseWednesday I have chosen Queen of Sweden. It’s a heavily doubled flower which is beautiful in good weather but tends to droop in rain. A bonus addition is the Flower Crab spider lying in wait for any pollinators. #GardeningFeed

Slightly wonky banana and chocolate muffins. Didn’t have big enough muffin cases so over filled them a bit. Sure they will taste fine😂. #baking

Despite the weather being cold and grey this morning, did manage to get out for a 7.6km run around the village. So nice to see more and more signs of spring. #running #Spring #Gardeningfeed

Happy Birthday, Ben! Proud of you.

Really pleased with today’s bread. This from a recipe on The Perfect Loaf website for Hop Miche. It is a mix of rye, wholemeal and strong white flour and includes some of my husband’s home brewed chocolate stout. #Sourdough #bread #baking

Have chosen rudbeckia, echinacea and poppies for my #SixOnSaturday I find rudbeckia quite hard to grow from seed but keep trying. #GardeningFeed

Not been in the garden today as it’s been cold, windy and grey but was out yesterday afternoon. Lots of bulbs coming up so not long until we see flowers. Pictures are from last spring. #FlowersOnFriday #GardeningFeed

Lots of bees on last summer’s flowers for #InsectThursday #GardeningFeed

Running along the coast path in S Wales and then around the village. Keeping an eye out for signs of spring so today it was snowdrops in someone’s garden plus a lone calendula and lots of crocuses in the garden at our community library. #running #spring #gardeningfeed

All seen on this morning’s run around the village in S Wales today. The first primrose, a very late rose and, in my favourite garden to run past a fabulously fragrant winter honeysuckle and a Daphne. #running #spring

These were taken at RHS Wisley in May last year. Have never seen such beautiful peonies. #GardeningFeed

From last summer’s garden for #SixOnSaturday #GardeningFeed

I have spent a couple of afternoons this week pruning roses and cutting back clematis. Even though it is only two thirds of the way through January, there were so many buds and I had to steel myself to be brutal ✂️ #ClematisThursday #GardeningFeed

This is Rosa Alnwick Castle which is one of my favourites for scent. I have planted it next to the path. Every time you walk past it just lifts the heart. #RoseWednesday #GardeningFeed

The weather today in S Wales is awful so tried out a new recipe for soup today. Delicious and really hit the spot. Recipe from Debora Robertson. #winter #rain #soup

I have chosen one of my favourite summer flowers for #FlowersOnFriday. These are the cosmos I grew last year. Don’t think they were quite as good as the year before due to less sun but, hope never dies and I already have my seeds for this year. #GardeningFeed

I bought this rose because my daughter in law is called Emily. The rose is Emily Brontë and it has really beautiful delicate flowers. #RoseWednesday #GardeningFeed

Helpful!

ICE is planning immigration raids starting Tuesday. Please amplify.

Photos from last spring for #SevenOnSunday #Spring #Flowers

Spent the afternoon on a gloomy grey and chilly day cutting back this clematis. It is called clematis rhederiana and is scented like cowslips. It flowers later than most in August and September and the bees love it. It does however make an enormous plant so needs cutting back hard. #clematis

Have spent the afternoon out in the garden in glorious sunshine. Can see lots of bulbs pushing up through the soil. These pictures are from last spring and make me feel excited to see what’s coming up this year. #FlowersOnFriday #Spring #Gardening

Bees on last summer’s dahlias for #InsectThursday #gardening

Today’s bread is from a recipe from The Perfect Loaf website for a hop miche. It should really be one large loaf but I struggle to get the whole loaf onto my baking stone. I used my husband’s home brewed chocolate stout in the recipe. #sourdough #baking #bread

Remembrance of summers past and hopes for the coming year. Rosa Rhapsody in Blue for #RoseWednesday #Gardeningfeed

We have teamed up with Mendez & Sanchez to provide free In-N-Out Burgers, free drinks, and other free meals to first responders and those affected by the fires. Please share.

Very cold here at the moment although we haven’t had any snow. Helps to look back at last summer’s colour as a reminder we have this to look forward to #FlowersonFriday #Gardening
