Eriandys Ramon with his first HR of the year. Just sneaked it out.

Kevin Alcántara with the Matrix move to avoid the HBP (they actually called a balk on the pitcher here).

Moises Ballesteros hammers a double the other way off the wall, and he’s 2-3 with a BB again so far today.

Owen Caissie beats Will Benson for a double.

Matt Shaw with his first HR in Iowa. Also has a 2B today. Had a couple hard hit outs yesterday. Getting locked in hopefully.

Suarez with his 4th HR to tie the game in the 9th. Wild.

Against a team not named the Cubs? Amazing.

5th hit of the double header for Moises Ballesteros. 5 for 7 with a BB and 3 RBI on the day.

Palencia getting locked in at the MLB level is huge. Looks good on back to back days, velocity still up at 100.

Owen Caissie rips a double into the gap.

Owen Ayers hit his first HR of the year last night, a rocket at 108 MPH. 19th round pick last year, switch hitting catcher, off to a .242/.359/.515, 146+ start (only 9 games played so far though).

PCA is already up to 2.0 fWAR, and I think we need to recalibrate expectations for his season. Even if the bat falls off (don't think it will collapse totally), he's already at close to 1 win from baserunning and defense alone 1/6th of the way through the season.

Dodgers shut out by the Pirates. That’s too bad.

Brews lose! (Unfortunately Cards win, but I’ll take it).

Cubs win! 3 in a row, 5 of their last 6!

No thanks on this stretch singer.

Christopher Morel hits a 2 run HR in extras, loses his necklace rounding third, thinks about going back for a second it before skipping home.

*Chef kiss*

Weird to announce you are going to announce a plan.

Not generally a country guy, but Stephen Wilson Jr. is great. I also recently learned that he is married to Leigh Nash from Sixpence None The Richer is which is kind of wild but cool. www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootb...

I’d put Nico 5th, PCA 6th, Dansby 7th probably. But I figure there’s some preference for two righties who hit lefties well following Busch to discourage an early move to a lefty reliever. Otherwise, PCA down in the order is fine. Extends the lineup.

Shoutout to Carter Trice, who is off to a hot start to the year with High-A South Bend: 59 PA, 116 BASH .261/.424/.478//.902 (128 OPS+) 20.3% K (114 K%+), 18.6% BB (148 BB%+)

Cristian Hernandez so far this season: SwStr% 17.0% (⬆️ from 13.9%) BB%: 8.3% (⬇️ from 14.6%) BUT ISO: .203 (⬆️ from .120) Pull%: 63.5% (⬆️ from 39.8%) FB%: 51.9% (⬆️ from 29.0%) GB% 32.7% (⬇️ from 50.0%) K%: 16.7% (⬇️ from 22.2%) Pulling the ball in the air a ton could be huge for him if it sticks.

The 2025 Draft bonus pool and pick values are out. @jimcallis.bsky.social has the details: www.mlb.com/milb/news/ml...

PCA’s last 9 games have been against the Dodgers, Padres, and Diamondbacks. He’s been worth 1.5 fWAR in those last 9 games. Amazing.

Brews lose!

Jack Neely has had a couple rough outings lately, but he was on fire today. 2.0 IP, 4 Ks, 1 BB, no hits/runs. Racked up 11 whiffs. You’d like to see those I bet.

Cubs win! Sweeeeep! Season series win over the Dodgers! We are good.

Ivan Brethowr got into one.

MVPete

Cristian Hernandez with a missile for his 2nd HR of the year.

If he's so famous, why do I need to meet him?
