Starting our Mega Silents double bill features in March with two classic #SilentFilm titles; both centred around a Cameraman. Join us to see both films on the biggest screen in #Bristol (Megascreen) for just £12. Saturday 1st March, 12PM: ti.to/film-noir-uk...

I had the pleasure of working on a collaged piece for @cpxmcr.bsky.social's Twin Peaks Day Celebration. David Lynch's death was announced about half way through working on this which completely changed what I'd planned to do.

Happy Twin Peaks Day 🥧☕️🦉🩸

Happy Twin Peaks Day, friends! 🦉 Here is a design I made a while back for @cpxmcr.bsky.social which I believe is still available to purchase as a print from their website.

Wonderful package arrived in the post today! @plumeriapics.bsky.social's Hoard release with my artwork on the cover. Still pinching myself I got to make some alt artwork for one of my favourite films of last year that's been used for the Blu-ray release 🐀

So many reasons to love GODLAND (Hlynur Pálmason, 2022) - tonight, 22.40, BBC Four/iPlayer. Shot on 35mm and in Academy ratio; epic Icelandic landscapes; a priest with a crisis of faith; amazing sound and editing; seeing a photographic image developed with silver and albumen - and the dog!

We raised £1022!! 🥳 Totally overwhelmed by the amazing support for our Terror Twos charity print sale raising money for the family of Pete Knight. Thank you to everyone who bought a print or supported our sale in any way!

One year I'll time my Brussels trip to make this festival. Insane line-up this year! Including O'r Ddaear Hen!

Little bit light on work at the moment, so I'm leaning hard into my run programme for a 10k in April. But, if you have illustration / design for animation work going, please press send to [email protected] www.catfinnie.co.uk

Campaign to bring back end credits like this

It was lovely working with Klassiki again on artwork for their touring film season with Kinoteka festival! It's such a great selection, a mixture of classic and new films. Check some out if anything's playing near you!

Projected onto the Bristol aquarium megascreen by everyone’s favourite expendable-beaver-friendly video shop!

Sorry to be cheesy but it is genuinely such an honor to have an illustration in Little White Lies! Thanks so much to @hannahstrong.co.uk for including me in the @lwlies.com tribute to David Lynch, and Kathryn Bromwich for the great Wild at Heart essay! lwlies.com/articles/per...

Slipcase and cover art for the gorgeous Gwen and the Book of Sand for @deafcrocodile.bsky.social. This might be one of my favourite discoveries while working with them so far.

Cover art for @deafcrocodile.bsky.social's release of two DEFA sci-fi films by Gottfried Kolditz. Signals: A Space Adventure and In the Dust of the Stars!

A film I've not stopped thinking about since watching it last year. UK friends check it out!!

A very lovely day at @swsilents.bsky.social for their double bill of Nosferatu and The Lost Boys with @vforvienetta.bsky.social 🩸

Had the great pleasure/privilege to meet David Lynch. He was making lithographs in Paris. When asked what he liked about working in black and white he said in that distinctive “Jimmy Stewart from Mars” drawl “well, you know, the darker and deeper the black the more you understand the white.” RIP

TOMORROW! Don't miss out on seeing the original Nosferatu (with live music) and 80s vamp classic The Lost Boys on Bristol Megascreen courtesy of @swsilents.bsky.social . ti.to/film-noir-uk...

Loved making this soviet photomontage inspired poster for @swsilents.bsky.social City Montage season at Bristol Megascreen! It's a great selection of films which will include some live accompaniments too. See you there! 👁️ Thanks to @jamesmjharrison.bsky.social for getting me involved 📽️

Start your day with Chantel Akerman…

Took no photos but had a lovely time yesterday and today showing @marcaspinall.bsky.social and Issy around some of Cardiff with the best double bill of Funny Face and The Devil Wears Prada today 💖

Yes I travelled across the country to see The Devil Wears Prada with my gf. Also doing Funny Face with @bamcreate.bsky.social good day to us!

Colin Farrell's transformation into the penguin is remarkable

“When Watershed in Bristol screened Edward Yang’s Yi Yi in one of its smaller auditoriums, hoping to sell 40 tickets, it sold 170 and had to move it to a bigger screen. The reason? Yi Yi had been recommended on Letterboxd, where it sat at No 11 on the Top 250…” www.theguardian.com/film/2024/de...

I’d never seen What’s Up, Doc? We watched it tonight and it’s delightfully ludicrous — a deranged, 100mph farce in the screwball comedy tradition. Ryan O’Neal and Barbara Streisand are charming as hell, and the car chases are iconic! Well worth a Christmas watch www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis...

New Work! Carol (2015) - Privately commissioned poster

Some unused artwork for The Line, you might see snippets of them if you've purchased the Blu-ray!

New Interview I did with Beneficial Shock is up now: www.beneficialshock.com/blogs/shocki...

My turn for #TerrorTwos #MerryAxemas! I've wanted to work on an alt poster for The Green Knight for ages! This was the perfect opportunity 🎄 @terrortwos.bsky.social are sharing new artwork from amazing artists every day this month with a charity print sale in January! check out all the work so far!
