the inglorious start of a page

Someone just asked if I was on drugs drawing this. I can't tell if that was a compliment or not. "Anything but normal" is my motto. #comics

Fertility divinities in the sky! This is Donn P. Crane’s early 20th century illustration of Frey and Freyja flower-seeding clouds as their beasts of burden propel them onwards and onwards through the ether. #wyrdwednesday

#SequentialSaturdays Post a cool/interesting/favoured comic page or sequence you’ve worked on before or read lately. From Immortal Hulk 28 by @matiasbergara.bsky.social coloured by me.

always nice to see someone finding this one.

haven't been making time for unsupervised doodling in 2025. that's no good. gotta turn that around!

Nordic herding call.

Last year I painted my neighbor Bill Woodhouse's cool barn as a thank you for all the work he does here at the Whittier Birthplace. One of those nice, invaluable guys who knows how to do EVERYTHING & has all the tools to do it right the first time.

Starting my graphic novel off with my two old pals on the left side of the opening spread. Only in the last year have they started showing up in my dreams, where they're young and healthy again, running around a big summer field with me at golden hour. I can't wait to see them again some day.

pages 19 and 22 from @bergting.bsky.social's Domovoi. Highly recommended--combines folkloric aspects familiar to Hellboy readers but with more in the form of a fairy tale--in the best possible sense of the term.
