stupid petty and entirely inconsequential worldbuilding gripe but it drives me crazy when people say (any sapient, non-human creature in a fantasy setting) isn't a person. i.e. elves aren't people or fuckin whatever. i think 'personhood' quantifies sophonce, not humanity specifically.
