It turns out he actually doesn't remember what you did last summer very well by this point, but between a vague lingering feeling that he should be mad at you and repeated listenings to Summer of '69 by Bryan Adams, he's managed to piece some sort of version of events together in his head.

I finished the game and got all the helixes. I have qualifications.

I'm going to print this myself, frame it, and put it on my desk at work. People need to know who they're dealing with.

Fucker stole his fighting style from Roberto from Rival Schools as well. Uncool, man.

Glad it happened in the space of Messi's career too. The kid gave his all in so many tournaments and you could see how much it broke his heart to keep falling short. Was cute to see him finally get to hold the trophy after such an amazing career.

Yeah, I watched some footage of the celebrations in Argentina, and it warmed my heart even as a non-Argentine. Thought you were going to win it back in 2006 with that beautiful team built around Riquelme, and then again in the final in 2014. But sounds like it ended up coming at just the right time.

Noticed you're Argentine, by the way! Congrats on the recent trophies. Was cheering you on as someone who has watched basically all of Messi's professional career, and got proper emotional during that World Cup final. Lovely to see the team finally get there after a lot of heartbreak.

Haha, right? He's developed a fierceness and a fire on the pitch as he's gotten older, but can't imagine him bringing that to any real life conflict. Seems to be all smiles whenever he's not playing a match.

Shut up and take my money! Thanks, I actually didn't really know where to start with the franchise after Plus despite being very interested. Definitely sounds like that's my next call after the OG.

Ironic, now I was the one suffering.

I remember seeing it in stores here at the time! I sort of wanted.

That "controversial" is doing some really heavy lifting.

That's a major Bandit move to be fair. He'd be proud.

I've only seen the Macross Plus OVA myself, but it's a favourite and one of the first anime properties I properly fell in love with. So always had fond feelings for the franchise. Cool to explore a bit more of it. <3 I've not seen much Gundam beyond Witch from Mercury, but want to see more too!

"Rockman" to the tune of Roxanne has been haunting me forever. Welcome to the brainworm club.

I thought it was only right that I put in just as much work sourcing my model as they did.

Ryu from Streets: "The answer lies in the heart of battle." > You won, so you get Ice Water Ryu from Streets: "I was wrong."

Calling in sick to work tomorrow to spend the day playing Final Fantasy VII Rebirth because it's the right thing to do from a security perspective.

Yeah, it feels like it's less of an investment than the other two and easier to jump into on a whim. Could definitely see myself replaying! I really enjoyed watching the towns grow and reading all the NPC dialogue.

Soul Blazer is great! Was the only one of the Quintet trilogy (or quartet if you count Granstream Saga) that I hadn't finished, and I finally beat it last year. Had such a good time. A simpler game than Gaia or Terranigma, but such a fun and addictive little gameplay loop.

They were surprisingly committed to making their fake SNES game look like a real one by the standards of movies of this era!

Idlewild were one of my favourite bands in high school too! Still go back to their stuff every now and then.

I should probably revisit some of their other material in truth. I say I don't particularly like them, but outside of this and a few other hits like Disco 2000, it's been an awful long time since I've heard any Pulp now.

Don't remember them continuing to have the same airplay into my teens versus other famous bands of the 90s like Nirvana, Oasis, and Blur, so the song was able to escape fatigue for me I think! I sort of forgot about it and then rediscovered it when I was seventeen.
