Two episodes into this and I'm absolutely hooked. How did I miss this story? "This podcast investigates, boots on the ground in #Buffalo, and unravels the cover up of the mysterious death of Father Joe Moreno." overcast.fm/+AA-E8704VNM

Always excited when I can share a weird local history story organically in conversation! Here's @akepps.bsky.social's excellent blog including the story of the #Buffalo Gal Brawl at the 1901 Pan Am Expo buffalostreets.com/2014/03/31/c...

Most recent #sourdough attempt with einkorn. 60/40 whole wheat and all purpose einkorn. Best result so far with all purpose einkorn

How I arrived on Bluesky

There are two wolves inside me. One wants to move to a cabin in the woods and one wants to move to New Mexico. (There's also a small pine marten who wants to move to Italy.)

Am I spooky because this was one of my first ever Scholastic purchases in elementary school; or was this one of my first ever Scholastic books because I'm spooky? We may never know

I watched The Pact last night, and thought it had a really cool premise, but the story was kind of a mess. Who had a pact? Two people were missing, and one single cop was like, "I can take some pictures of your creepy hidden room I GUESS."

We're having a low key Easter, since one of the girls is sick and had a fever, but we have candy and Indian food and the sun and that's what matters.

It was, probably, the wrong time to read this.

I'm very mad at March 2025 Dawn who signed Today Dawn up for a six hour defensive driving course on a Saturday, in a classroom. With lots of people.

Tell me the horror movie that started your love of horror: (I mean it traumatized me because I was like, 8 years old, but from the scar bloomed a black rose 😂)

It just gets worse by the day

Reminder that when you see an obvious troll/bot/chud in my comments, just let them be. They want you to engage. Don't. I'll be along to expunge them in due time. In the meantime, let them marinate in their own shittiness, don't volunteer to scoop it up and baste yourself with it.

This popped up in my Timehop today, and so unfortunately appropriate. credit @yoyoha.bsky.social

Good morning, Horror Fam. Almost through the week. Home stretch now. We can do this. #HorrorSky

<Picking up my phone after work> Well, what incredibly dumb shit has happened today?

I lived across the alley from the iconic Como. We had all the post-event functions there for years. This card shows how the Como looked in the 1950s, after the first expansion. I haven't been there since it was purchased by new owners and reopened. I'm not sure I can cope 😂 #niagarafalls

You guys, Harvard is older than the United States.

The number of people selling items on Etsy with Niagara misspelled as "Niagra" is super cringe

So this is pretty cool. I found this on eBay, and at first glance, it's just cool because it's a ticket from 1901 to use the inclined railway at Niagara Falls State Reservation. But it's really cool because the name Schoellkopf is kind of a big deal around here.
