Does anyone else have a certain amount of PTSD (I don't know how else to describe it) from dealing with the toxicity of Twitter for so long? I was on it for years and reader, it really messed me up in some ways. I've been trying to engage with Bluesky, it's nice here. But I still find it hard.

My thoughts on Hades and Rainbow Billy - The Curse of the Leviathan. More to come (but now I must toil)

Just realised that this "Games of the Year" thread I'm compiling requires me to go back and listen to some OSTs for starters, as well as probably look up some gaming videos too. So I'll take my time over the next few days making it a thread worth reading. Shift work makes these things hard

I haven't been here in a week or two because of work, but I'll dip my toe in the water today. I got my Xbox Year in Review this morning and I thought I might go through my top twenty played games of the year. On Xbox. And talk about each of them a little bit. So I'll make this a thread.

Keep seeing people who had large accounts on Twitter express their sadness at having to rebuild, well, I had a large account on Twitter and it was a constant weight around my neck (partly because it was Twitter ofc), it is genuinely refreshing to be here and just starting out again. #promosky

I've only started reading again recently after a long hiatus. It is so cathartic. I was always thinking "HOW DO I FILL MY LIMITED FREE TIME WITH AS MANY FUN THINGS AS POSSIBLE" and to be honest, that induces anxiety all of its own. When you're sitting down for a nice read, that just melts away.

Please read books. I’m begging you.

I work in retail, I love video games, I'm reading a fair bit of fantasy at the minute, I do the cooking (an expression of creativity for someone who has few outlets for it) and I will probably chat about all of these and more besides. Oh, and I'll follow back Come say hey ^__^ #promosky

A great way to spend an evening :) very much enjoying Fire and Blood

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. Each year, the trans community loses too many lives, especially trans women of color, to hate and violence. More than ever, we must stand by our trans family and support them, hold space for them, and insist the scapegoating and targeting stop. Now.

Foot pain too!

If you played this when it was new you probably have back or knee pain now. 😮‍💨

Is anyone else expecting Elmo Musk to try and sue Bluesky for some stupid reason (and fail miserably)?

Come on, I need me some moots to make this place a bit more fun (and it's plenty fun already) #promosky

Just 40 years ago, the 1st chapter of "Dragon Ball" manga was published. Happy birthday to Goku and all his friends. And eternal farewell to Akira Toriyama 🙏

People keep trying to defend Balatro’s legitimacy in being nominated for The Game Awards, but that misses the larger point that The Game Awards are deeply embarrassing and you don’t need to care about that.

You shouldn't give a damn about the Game Awards. Not even one solitary hoot. Just look at the Oscars. A backslapping ceremony in order to artificially hype certain filmmakers and actors. It's an industry fix, and so are the Game Awards. Review scores, medals, trophies - all dust in the wind.

Just finished the Black Ops 6 campaign mode. Gotta say, I'm impressed - some really interesting gameplay mechanics thrown in there, Treyarch get a lot of credit for this one in my book. Couldn't help but notice only 4% of players have finished it. A shame really, most folks just want multiplayer.

I do this all the time, bounced from Call of Duty BO6, to Flight Simulator to Dragonball already today

Actually blown away by the realism of the new Flight Simulator game which goes as far as to simulate the feeling you have standing in line at the airport, truly next level

Dragonball is 40 years old today and I'm just realising that I'm five months older than Goku Time to gather me up some balls and wish for eternal youth I think

Seeing the GOTY conversations starting and while that’s awesome, it’s important to remember that if you think something is Game of the Year, then it is. It’s that simple. Does not matter if even one other person agrees. GOTY is just an opinion and everyone’s is equal.

So Kat (my wife) has been playing Veilguard, I'd say she's about 15 hours in perhaps. I've been watching along. As much as I want to love it... I don't. Not yet. I don't hate it though. Parts of it, I like. But... it's just doesn't feel like Dragon Age to me. Still time to change my mind though.

Best 4 games I've played this year

I enjoy shouting into the VOID Void void
