🧵 I’m still in Florida since we escaped the inauguration. My parents bought a house here early last year, and it’s our first time here together. I’ve been working remote and spending free time helping with construction. My gov adjacent employer asked us to lay low through the chaos, however… 1/2

Pete Hagseth will get confirmed. What Tim Kaine, Gary Peters, Tammy Duckworth, Mark Kelly so pointedly demonstrated is he is deeply flawed, incredibly unqualified, and entirely unprepared for the job. Secdef is one of those positions that you don’t want a leader failing upwards w/dire consequences.
