The average American has three friends.

Rudy Gobert too much for small-ball Lakers, Timberwolves win 103-96 to take series 4-1, eliminate Lakers That Minnesota won on a night it shot 7-of-47 (14.9%) from 3 tells you all you need to know about control of this series. www.nbcsports.com/nba/news/rud...

For those scoring at home, Minnesota now 6-41 from 3. Rudy Gobert making plays on both ends has Minnesota up 3.

Wolves are now 2/25 above the break 3s

Timberwolves lead 81-80 after 3. Minnesota is +36 in the fourth quarter in this series, having won each one. Lakers need to break that trend or they go fishing.

Luka went to the locker room after a hard foul near the end of the first half

Timberwolves lead 59-49 at the half despite shooting 6-of-30 from 3 (20%) and now Luka looks banged up (we'll see about him in the second half).

After free throws, Lakers commit foul to get Doncic out of the game, he very slowly walks back to the locker room.

DiVincenzo given a common foul on that, ruling is he made a play on the ball and got Doncic's shoulder not head.

Minnesota leads by 9 after one quarter and shot 3-of-16 from 3.

Maxi Kleber sighting!

I'd suggest a drinking game where you take a drink every time JJ Redick makes a substitution, but that kind of defeats the purpose of a drinking game.

Minnesota an early 0-7 from 3. Lakers trailing in that cagegory only going 0-2 so far.

Atlanta's Dyson Daniels wins Most Improved Player with two-way play For his first 2 seasons, Daniels was fighting just to get run in a crowded New Orleans guard rotation. This summer he was traded to Atlanta, got a real opportunity and thrived. www.nbcsports.com/nba/news/atl...

I've got no dog in this fight, but that "he's offside because his toe is offside" that Inter faced today is just crap. I want it to be the core of the body or something more than "his toe was ahead of the defender's knee"

I never realized our president was a Buddhist. This quote falls right in line with "Desire is the root of suffering" and "Suffering arises from 'attachment' to desires. Suffering ceases when 'attachment' to desire ceases." He's always seemed so very Zen.

Brooks did not need to put his hand on Butler, that was just a bad foul at a terrible time.

Late in the first quarter and I have to say, I like the Cavaliers chances of closing this series out tonight. #analysis

Feared worst becomes reality: Milwaukee Bucks' Damian Lillard suffers torn Achilles Lillard is out for the remainder of the playoffs, likely most, if not all, of next season, and all of that leaves the Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo at a crossroads. www.nbcsports.com/nba/news/fea...

SVG's commentary about the success of Orlando's gameplan is undeniably true but I don't think too many teams can replicate it. The Magic played this way all season and had one of the best defenses in the league for a reason. They're huge and physical and can hold up with their switches.
