This week's been really exhausting, like... triple the meetings I normally have at work plus finishing out a release engineering rotation. I have a big todo list of small things I need to finish up so I can start streaming. I was going to get that done earlier this week, but I'm working on it now!

Finally done. That last fight was quite the challenge, I was not expecting 2 more phases in Brutal. But they were pretty fun! The power curve has been smoothed out at the top (like, you can actually have matched gear level with Drac) but the game's boss combat still suffers in single player.

The pacing in V Rising feels off. I know it's mainly because the Gloomrot update but Act 3 feels like a slog/ pointless filler, where you have to grind just to match enemies. It's a setup for Act 4's progression but "just get through an entire act with a weird power curve" is not great design IMO.

I'm gonna keep it 100: if you run a community Discord server it's in your best interest and the best interest of your community to not have a vent channel. It exposes your moderation team to trauma 24/7, and creates a localized doomscrolling zone that demolishes moods of even those who post in it.

I'm still messing with getting the webcam to play nice with this vtuber software. Amusingly, the best height I've found seems to be exactly this bottle of baby powder I bought when @toyapup.bsky.social first visited like 12 years ago.
