Graphite artist working in the figurative realism modal. Looking for others who work in the same field no matter which media. It’s not elitist. It’s just what I do.

The Taliban has now banned windows in Afghanistan so women can't be seen. The Taliban also banned women from education, employment, and parks and other public places. It also banned women from being doctors and male doctors from treating women, leaving women without any healthcare. #opdeatheaters

In A Moment Of Reflection - Completed January 2021 This complex piece took 350 hours to complete. I consider this my first real piece of art other than portraiture. At 930 x 610mm it was the biggest piece I had done to this time. #blackandwhiteart #drawing #pencil

Poised Graphite and carbon on Liscio 220gsm paper 770mm by 1000mm.

This was the first drawing that made think...Did I actually draw that. I don't always get that feeling...but that's what I'm chasing each time I draw. #keithrichards #rollingstones #art #drawing #dopaminechasing

Mitosis Of Grief. For when the grief of loss is too great for 1 soul. Graphite, carbon on Liscio paper 700mm x 520mm. Mitosis - a process of cell duplication, or reproduction, during which one cell gives rise to two genetically identical daughter cells. #b&wart #art

There seems to be some confusion here, so just to be clear: AI is theft. You are not made an artist by using it. Go pick up a pencil. 💜

As a graphite artist I am self trained. My decision to go down this path came out of boredom and irritability. When shopping at a $2 shop I found a set of 6 pencils and decided to have play with them. A month later I had finished the following as an A1 piece. Haven’t stopped since.

Trying something new. I have never used charcoal for a drawing before. I thought I might give it ago.

A smaller piece that I did a short way into my art journey. It is a piece that still enjoy from time to time

Disappointed with Bluesky so far. Doesn’t seem to be many traditional artists here. You know, the ones that pickup a pencil or brushes and go to work. Looking for artists who work in the field of figurative realism or similar to follow and link up with.

Drawing or sketch?

WIP - Continuing the play of light.

Entitled The Groom I feel I managed to capture a moment of assuredness at a time where life is about to change for this young Vietnamese man. Graphite and Carbon on A4 paper
