Great night out doing astronomy last night πŸ€©βœ¨πŸ™Œ seeing the planets lined up in an arc was lovely! I did some deep sky imaging capturing galaxies, dark nebulae & did a live stream of Jupiter & Mars πŸ” #astronomy #space #planets #telescope

www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0f7... Capturing a planet during the day time! ✨😎🀩 YouTube premiere - 4:30PM GMT πŸ’ͺπŸ™Œ #astronomy #planets #planetsparade #space

I can't believe it has already been 4 years since the Perseverance rover landed on Mars! #planetsci The rover was equipped with six engineering camera that captured more than 26.000 images during the landing! This thread contains some of my favorites:

LUNAR CRATERS UP CLOSE IN 4K πŸ€©βœ¨πŸ” Premiering over on my YouTube tomorrow (18th February) at 4:30PM GMT See you tomorrow! These views are going to be stunning 😍 #lunar #space #astronomy #astrophotography #moon

Chilling in the summer house 🦀 #sciart

Faint integrated flux nebula see around Polaris, the North Star ✨ This dusty region is lit up by our own Milky Way galaxy. The integrated flux of all the stars is enough to light up this faint dust Captured from my garden in England, UK πŸ”βœ¨ #astrophotography #space #nightsky

Going live in 10 minutes! www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjUE... See you in the chat where you can come and say hi and watch along live with other space fans πŸ™Œβœ¨πŸ˜Ž

How to polar align during the DAYTIME! New video going live tomorrow (11th) 6:45PM GMT. This won't just be about polar alignment, but I also capture 3 photos! See you tomorrow at 6:45PM over on my YouTube - link in bio & comments! #astrophotography #space #astronomy #telescope

Our solar system! 🀩😍πŸͺ (minus Mercury) I captured all these photos across the last 12 months. I’m so pleased considering how new I am to planetary imaging βœ¨πŸ™Œ #solarsystem #space #astronomy #space #lunar #moons #planets #planet #mars #jupiter #saturn #venus

14” & 8” Newtonian telescopes out tonight πŸ˜Žβœ¨πŸ” It’s been rather windy, but still fun to be out πŸ™Œ #astronomy #space #telescope #cosmos #astrophotography

Mars at opposition, January 16th 2025. Mars is much smaller than it was in 2018/2020, but I was still able to resolve clouds and detail on the Martian surface πŸ™ŒπŸ” Photographed from my garden with a (pretty big) telescope #astronomy #space #mars #planets #astrophotography #solarsystem

I pointed my biggest 14” telescope at some of the planets Here is how they look live through it βœ¨πŸ” #astronomy #astrophotography #planets #solarsystem #space

Getting ready for Mars at opposition ✨ The big scope is out! Let’s hope for good conditions πŸ™πŸ™ #astronomy #space #Mars #solarsystem

Mars rotation. Mars has a day length almost the same as the Earth, at about 23.5 hrs. I made this video from nearly 100 separate images, taken over a period of over 4 hrs. I've speeded it up to show the rotation, and plays at about 3660x real-time speed. #astrophotography πŸ”

WARNING: Could induce an allergic reaction. Welcome to Taurus, where there happens to be tons of molecular dust. Thirty-six hours of cumulative exposure time over several nights. Taken with my Takahashi Bananaβ„’ telescope in a remote observatory with very dark skies. #astrophotography #photography

Now onto a target I've wanted to capture for quite a long time! The Tadpoles Nebula is really cool and with my telescope setup, I can get up close and personal with it. #astronomy #space #telescope #universe #astrophotography

Currently photographing messier 33, the Triangulum Galaxy up close. This is one of my favourite targets in the night sky 🀩 #astronomy #space #cosmos

The difference a year can make My first photo of Jupiter earlier this year in January vs my most recent photo a few weeks ago! #astronomy #space #planets #jupiter #newyear

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas! I hope the clouds stay at bay if you get a telescope ✨πŸ₯³πŸŽπŸŽ„ #christmas

Our Milky Way galaxy overhead my garden Captured with an iPhone, no editing #astronomy

🚨 calling all space artists 🚨 2 days left to submit your work to The Art of Planetary Science show. It’s free! Art is welcome from paintings to poetry, all skill levels. I helped run this event as a grad student & it’s a wonderful exhibition merging science + art πŸ‘πŸ”πŸ§ͺ www.lpl.arizona.edu/art/

Io, one of Jupiter’s moons, transiting the surface of Jupiter. You can see the shadow from Io in this video and the moon off to the right #astronomy

Venus shining bright tonight 🀩✨ I’ve got the big 14” telescope out to capture Jupiter and maybe Mars later #astrophotography πŸ”l

Jupiter and Europa last night - photographed from my garden in the UK. Conditions were mostly cloudy, but brief gaps revealed the incredibly bright dot in the sky that is Jupiter. The striking bands on Jupiter's surface never cease to amaze me 🀩 #astronomy #astrophotography πŸ”

I’ve been photographing Jupiter this evening! Wonderful to be out again with the biiiiig telescope πŸ™ŒπŸ”

Getting a telescope for Christmas and want to do astrophotography? Here's some accessories and upgrades you might want to make the experience a little better! Premiering live on YouTube in 15 minutes - 6:30 GMT www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTU6... πŸ” #astrophotography

Rhea with Saturn's rings in the background. Cassini, November 2005.

Another planetary nebula. The Owl Nebula, also known as,Messier 97, is located in the constellation Ursa Major and is around 2000 light away from us. Taken with my Edge HD8 telescope earlier this year. Can you see the eyes of the owl? #astrophotography πŸ”

πŸ‘» The ghost of Cassiopeia βœ¨πŸ” The ghost of Cassiopeia (IC 63) is a reflection and emission nebula located in the constellation Cassiopeia. The ghost shape comes from the hydrogen that makes up the nebula structure being bombarded by ultraviolet radiation from the nearby star of Gamma Cassiopeiae.

Hi! I’m Ben πŸ‘‹ I’m a deep sky astrophotographer based in rainy and very cloudy England πŸ₯²πŸ” I’ve been photographing space from my garden since 2018 and yep, I have super long hair πŸ˜…

⚠️⚠️ DO NOT TRY THIS ⚠️⚠️ Risky business over here at the Welsh border. 63mph winds and my telescope outside in the middle of the storm! I was away and the storm wasn’t forecast before I left! Thankfully it survived! πŸ™ #stormdarragh
