Happy #caturday from my grand kitten Suvi. She was helping me quilt one day. Mostly by laying on top of the project tight against my domestic machine, but also on the table nearly close and in the way as she is here. She is now 17 & slowing down, but is remarkably patient wit toddlers who love her.

I am proud of myself (AND surprised) for achieving part of a goal that I set over 5 years ago. Today I hit a 2000 day streak in Duolingo studying Spanish. This is my 1st language learning endeavor. I took programming languages in college & am old enough that HS didn’t require foreign language.

Seven years ago on the very 1st day of my former colleague Bill’s retirement he texted me with this photo… This cat had been discarded at the end of his driveway out in the country. Bill said this little boy needed a good home & that I should come meet him 😻 I did and the rest is history. #cats

Happy #whiskerswednesday! Pete stole a piece of ribbon from my sewing table this morning and is in full cat relaxation mode already (6:30 am). I will credit him for going to the garden with me at 5am and watching me water my apple trees. I guess he’s earned his rest 😻

Pete is supervising my first pizzas of the season tonight. Serious Eats NY Style pizza dough recipe (w/ 00 flour), divided & put in my fridge for 3-4 days in a few oiled 2qt Cambro containers to ferment a bit & develop more gluten. Bakerstone pizza oven on a 3 burner Weber. #pizza #cooking

This quilt was a block of the month that I call Red Delicious. It was designed by Taffy McLaughlin from traditional blocks, using Kaffe Fassett fabrics. 2011. I also quilted this. #quiltsky #skyquilts #quilting
