LAL wants to embrace it, their leaders just don't understand it well & want to exert control. They were the last team in the NBA to join TikTok because Tim Harris didn't see or understand its value. He's 63. He was hella intrigued by NFTs though lol. Thank god someone talked him out of that

I was with the Lakers for 2.5 years before Tim Harris (who runs the Lakers business ops) addressed the marketing department for the first time, between Games 1 & 2 of the 1st Round series vs Memphis in 2023 I call it his "You Must Suffer" speech because he told us that at least half a dozen times 🧵

I totally get from a vet, intangibles, trade asset management perspective you stick it out with Gabe. But I do wonder if JJ kicks the tires somewhere else soon. If it’s not Max (probably should be at some point) then maybe Quincy Olivari gets a shot. He’s shown POA chops and more offensive upside.
