I love maximalist epics like disco elysium, citizen sleeper, etc. but i am developing an appreciation for "short but potent" dialogues in games. wind waker's ganon encounter is five sentences. twenty years later it is still dagger-sharp -- in translation! "my country lay within a vast desert..."

played @calligramstudio.com's Phoenix Springs. it feels like a game that is aching with an unknown malady. melancholic yet sublime. while unnerving at times, it's still totally grounded, still a human story. what a strange, eerie thing this game is. please give it a try.
