I run a particle accelerator. Sometimes I also do websites. Still watching out for Triangle Man.

I've been on the job for over 35 years and I don't think I've ever seen anyone smoke inside a building here at the lab.

When Wheel Of Time season 2 dropped, we put it on and had no idea what was going on. We made it through the whole episode before we realized that Amazon had shown us episode 3 instead of episode 1.
We're just so used to being confused when a new season starts that we just went with it.

I imagine that somewhere hidden in the back of the engineering deck on the star ship Enterprise is a big, steam turbine.

I have my doubts that this is going to be an actual thing out in the real world, but I'd be happy if it was and either way the MAGA dudes' reactions to it are super amusing.

Bden's got that presidential immunity now. He could send out a team of CIA ninjas to take him out on November 6th, no matter who wins.

I was just in NYC for Comic Con. Felt perfectly safe there with my sixteen year old daughter.
My only real criticism of 2024 NYC is the odor of weed seems to be almost everywhere.

I used to go to the planetarium in high school back in the early 80's and I remember it being pretty awesome.

Not to mention being able to shoot entirely on the existing back lot sets. Traveling to the gangster planet was like shooting a bottle episode.

A certain flavor of Christian always looks for a loophole in Matthew 25:45.

I don't know if there's a right or wrong way to do any of this. The most we can hope for is least worst. I have a lot of regrets over how I handled things, but, at the time, it seemed like the best way forward.
Best to you and your family. I hope you come out the other side of this OK.

My wife and I cared for her mother in our home for over a year and a half. It ruined my wife's health and nearly destroyed our marriage.
The day we moved her into a care home was one of the happiest of my life. She spent down nearly $300k of savings in less that three years.

"No protests in the library" is a reasonable rule and the punishment is pretty mild.

This story should be getting more play. WordPress is a major part of Internet infrastructure and now it seems that Mullenweg can and will just cut off vital services to anyone who pisses him off.
