Ok. I zoomed in.
It does seem like they painted over it. Of course I assumed they would remove, repair, prime and paint.
Of course not.
How stupid of me to think they'd do anything the right way.
I'll go vomit up my dinner and burst into tears now...

I mean, it's all getting very blurry when seen from Europe with the time change, it's only Tuesday. When the hell did they force entry?

OMG, thank you for this! Even in Paris people forget this detail, though my socialist friends refuse to set foot there....and for good reason!

Are we sure these two photos are real! It's not that I don't necessarily believe it, but as an EGD designer, it doesn't seem possible that this was so quickly removed. Should have taken at least 1-2 days, no?
I just want to make sure before I share the fuck out of them!

The excavation slurry was pumped through a pipeline that was 6 meters above street level and that carried it about two kilometers away to the Seine where it was treated and then transferred to barges for removal!!!!

The third photo is the RER E line at La Defense, excavated and built about 10 meters beneath the CNIT shopping center, convention center and hotel, that remained open the whole time. (Photo below)

Lots! They have to move a lot of people, obviously, and they are super deep.
In the last one, the platforms are about 30m below street level, but the sunlight still makes its way all the way down!!
