This is a nice illustration of how satellite instruments work -- you can see that there are three lower resolution color bands (red, blue, green) and a higher resolution panchromatic band (monochrome).

As a branch of literature that by its nature imagines alternatives, science fiction is well suited to challenging hegemonic ideas. What is a notion that is inculcated deeply into the public psyche, that is largely unquestioned by most people, do you think SFF needs to undermine?
