Oh God, this is both incredibly lame and deeply disingenuous :( To reiterate, 'Butterly' by Amul was NOT a typo. It was a creative choice and very deliberate. The claim that it was a 'typo' is misleading and is disinformation.

Same headline across both print ad designs in The Hindu and The Times of India, and yet there's a glaringly obvious typo in only one. How did the agency manage to miss (or add) the typo, I wonder!

Wow! NASA doesn't have money to attend a space industry event in Delhi, thanks to America's medieval ruler.

"Achcha Kiya Insurance Liya" = "Mutual Funds Sahi Hai"! Both campaigns are being driven by industry bodies, not individual brands/companies: Association of Mutual Funds in India and General Insurance Council of India. 1/3

👌

Impossible to disagree with cats' logic 😁

Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD, 2011) and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan (KGHK, 2023) as descriptors of India's job landscape across 3 time periods - interesting framing.

Dei Air India, what is this and all? 🤦‍♂️

Very well-thought-out name for the operation! It links back to a painful, recent memory, and emotionally connects Indian people in a process that most will only see and hear from a distance.

"The abuse she faced was swift, vicious, and deeply personal — an avalanche of hate disguised as public opinion. Her grace under grief didn’t fit the script that many expected, and for that, she was vilified. Social media algorithms thrive on outrage, and we feed them with every comment and share".

"Nobody was there to protect her against real terrorists during the attack and nobody is still there to protect her against online terrorists?" —Via Arjun DS Pahwa on Threads: tinyurl.com/arjundspahwa

Worth connecting the dots? — "Union Bank of India decided to purchase nearly two lakh copies of the book, 'India@100: Envisioning Tomorrow’s Economic Powerhouse', by Krishnamurthy V Subramanian, at a cost of ₹7.25 crore, to distribute among customers/local schools/colleges/library, etc."

Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Finance Minister C. Subramaniam could have imposed demonetisation with a 8pm Doordarshan broadcast, changed goal posts for the next 3 months, and doubled down on laughing at people's misery, no?

Brilliant work by the agency Manja, for Urban Company's Native RO, using 'Lambi Judaai' to hilarious effect and perfect context, in service of the product promise! I burst out laughing at Dadaji's over-the-top crying while drinking water, and the kid delivering the product pitch while crying 😂

Choose between, a. Modi Ji ne arrive kiya hai toh, soch samajh ke hi kiya hoga. b. Masterstroke arrival.

Valid observation/point 🙂

Events/Messaging/Social start-up trainwreck in slow-motion, over 7 years, via TechCrunch headlines, with an unexpected twist in 2023 that would have you re-evaluating everything.

Dei!!!

Manipur is the pit in which all of Modi, BJP, and RSS's bravado goes and dies. Shameful, complicit, and disgraceful two years and running. And less said about us, the people, the better, since we conveniently choose to look the other way to BJP's immoral excesses in the State.

The aftermath of startup founders' avarice :(

Timing is everything in राजनीति.

Dei!!! 😂 FRIENDS in Tamil, starring Rajinikanth as Joey, Kamal Haasan as Chandler, Sridevi as Rachel, Arvind Swamy as Ross, Kushbu as Monica and Rambha as Phoebe (hardly looks like Rambha, though).

Vicious and endless cycles of revenge that are used by political parties to accumulate power.

"To make it to India's top 10% income earners, one must earn just Rs. 2.9 lakh a year. To enter the top 1%, Rs. 20.7 lakh will suffice. Wealth paints a similar picture. Accumulate Rs. 21 lakh in net assets, and one is now a 10-percenter. Accumulate Rs. 82 lakh and one is in the 1%."

Dei!!! Should we also inform them how and when you are arriving? 🤦‍♂️

Milliblog Weeklies, week 274 tinyurl.com/MAY04-2025mb This is Anirudh's week - one composed and sung by him, and 2 more sung by him! Plus, my picks from Sean Roldan's hearty soundtrack for Tourist Family, Gulraj Singh's gorgeous Marathi song, Jen Martin's new earworm & more!

Yikes!!!!! 'The Last of Us' scenario is really possible, it seems!!

Is the USA even a serious country anymore? 🤷‍♂️

At this point, I really hope that it is Parle itself that is behind all this effort to accentuate the annoyance and irritation from their new Marie ads, including this browser extension. That would make for a fantastic twist and a stupendously counterintuitive official campaign 😁

Ghar se nikalte hi: "meme phrase", "jab", "Quora rumour". Kuch door chalte hi: "does say Entire Political Science", "not just a meme".

"The information in question was already generally available in the public domain" **BUT** "The matter has not been previously reported" —Fascinating!

"The parents said the spiritual leader then encouraged them to apply for the world record, with his followers helping complete the application" —Seriously?

The 'man bites dog' equivalent headline!

"The company has almost 30 cases against it, mostly for misleading ads. Ramdev knows a tinge of saffron can dish up a winner" —All one needs is the "support" of the ruling party. Then, even if it harms Indian citizens, the perpetrator can run amok, freely.

Uh oh! If the Graham bill is passed, that would be bad for Russia's all-weather friend that looks the other way to all of dictator Putin's inhuman, barbaric atrocities, no?

Whoa! Vaibhav Suryavanshi makes it to the Wall Street Journal! — "It was as though an eighth-grader had dropped into the major leagues and immediately belted a couple of grand slams".

Hahahaha 😁

Neat use of the daily average time spent on X app made popular by Apple's 'Screen Time' feature in service of showcasing how immersive the product (in this case, a hotel property) is. Surprisingly, this is an in-house effort, not by an external agency!

I usually get a LOT of assorted requests from a lot of different kinds of people: start-up founders wanting to share ideas for feedback, a lot of job seekers sending their CVs, a lot of requests for LinkedIn recommendations, a lot of agencies and brand managers sending their new campaign for 1/7

An FMCG brand owner makes a mockery of the High Court by doing for a second time exactly what he said he wouldn't (and would take down) 10 days ago, without any deterrence whatsoever.

In today's episode of Zuck and friends (or the lack of it) ...

The comment 😂
