Ontario voters, don't miss your chance to kick out the Tories! Voter cards are not required in order to vote!!

I just learned that apparently some Americans are attempting to insult Canadians by calling us 'Snow Mexicans.' I consider this to be a great compliment, as Mexico is a great country and all the Mexicans I know are lovely people!

Forget the 'sober curious,' cannabis beverages, and Dry January. If you want to know why craft beer sales are down in North America, it's this! "The overall figures mask a major move from consumers toward Ready to Drink (RTD) cocktails and away from almost everything else."

For Canadians leaning into the 'Buy Canadian' trend, I have some recommendations of great Canadian spirits over at Beaumont Drinks, with more to follow in the coming days! www.beaumontdrinks.com/latest-spiri...

Hey Google Maps, you can't unilaterally change the name of a large and significant body of water just because some over-tanned buffoon has a psychotic episode!

Still trying to figure out how and why, in times like these, people actually want to drink less.

The tariffs might be delayed, but I sense there is still a large degree of 'Buy Canadian' sentiment out there. For those imbibers, and others in search of great whisky, I offer three reviews of BC's Shelter Point whiskies. (Bonus: They ship across Canada!) www.beaumontdrinks.com/feature-repo...

With US products being removed from liquor stores across the country, I have today embarked upon a series of reviews of domestically-produced whiskies all Canadians should know, beginning with John Sleeman & Sons Traditional Whisky. #TariffTimes www.beaumontdrinks.com/beers-spirit...

Dear Copilot, get stuffed. That is all.

So, according to reports, the inauguration of the most questionable president is going to be moved indoors due to "dangerously cold temperatures," aka the kind of weather that causes Canadians to do up their coats. And these are the people who want to invade us?

If you receive the monthly newsletter from Beaumont Drinks, you'll know that earlier this week I promised a review of a stellar rum. That review is up now, and if you don't know Worthy Park, you definitely owe it to yourself to check it out! www.beaumontdrinks.com/beers-spirit...

Live in Ontario? Drink beer? You should read this by @saintsgambit.bsky.social saintjohnswort.ca/ontario-beer...

A word about alcohol and health. The debate these days about whether or not alcohol has health benefits misses the point entirely. Nobody should drink for their health, any more than they consume cola or eat ice cream for health.

New on Beaumont Drinks, I take a look at the past and a taste of the present of the Great Lakes Brewery's annual Winter Ale. Spoiler alert: It's much improved from the early 2000s! www.beaumontdrinks.com/beers-spirit...

New review at Beaumont Drinks of Krampus Christmas Ale by Sleeping Giant Brewing of Thunder Bay. Great label, pretty damn good beer! www.beaumontdrinks.com/beers-spirit...

As hot as the Irish whiskey category might be, it appears that it's not hot enough to support sales of luxe brands like Waterford. www.irishtimes.com/business/202...

Best quote overheard on the street yesterday: "You think I'm lousy at math and shit? Hello?!"

One of the stand-outs at my tasting of bourbons and one American blended whiskey last week at Toronto's Bar Hop was this belter from the Beam distillery. Is it worth the money? I kind of think it might be. www.beaumontdrinks.com/beers-spirit...

According to a recent LCBO graphic, craft owns 15% of the Ontario beer and cider market and not one craft brand figures in the top ten best-sellers. So explain again to me how the craft beer market is saturated?

Last week on Beaumont Drinks: A look at a pair of single malt whiskies a mere $4,443.95 apart in price, #Glenfiddich Grand Yozakura and #OddSociety Commodore. Check them out here: www.beaumontdrinks.com/latest-spiri...

I just wrote notes on two different British Columbia single malt whiskies, and both were better than the Scottish malt I am currently sipping.
