Reddit user u/onestonewithlichen 's Mum has brought some of the Luttrell Psalters' marginalia monsters to life via the medium of wool-felt.

Left voicemails with my senators, chatted with a very nice staffer of my representative. Going to take a break and then call the State AG. Thanks to @swantower.bsky.social, @celestepewter.bsky.social and @5calls.org for sharing scripts and phone numbers.

Recently a friend gave me the most incredible gift I have ever received. Would you like to see it? OF COURSE. Here is the tube map... IN CROSS STITCH. It takes my breath away that anyone could create this, let alone create it for me. She's astonishing.

We got several kid-friendly games for Christmas. Sleeping Queens was the universal favorite. Gameplay was quick but eventful. Grownups were laughing and enjoying the silliness and creativity of the nobility. Elementary aged kid got to flex his math skills and the prek kid got to steal the cat queen.

Buying cross stitch patterns and stitching them are 2 separate hobbies

Whenever I have a bad pain day, I rewatch my favorite fanvid ever made (Starships, a multifandom fanvid by bironic) and it cheers me up. Since I've shared it a billion times on The Site That Shall Not Be Named, it's past time I share the glory of this vid here, too. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTGd...

It is done!!! Well, the cross stitch part. I, uh, really hadn't thought about the sewing part... Guess it's time to figure that inherited sewing machine out.

Just did Stars and Wishes at the end of my latest DND session, and wow! It brought so much positive energy to our goodbyes. I was worried my players would find it cheesy, but they all loved it, and it was so useful as the dm.

Just finished The Wood at Midwinter by Susanna Clarke. It was lovely; her language is so evocative. Victoria Sawdon's illustrations are gorgeous. I could wish the book were longer, I hadn't realized just how short it was going to be. The story is rather like a snowflake: ephemeral but memorable.

IT LIVES! We created the #RookAndRose wiki privately for ourselves, to track worldbuilding and such, but it's now publicly available for viewing and fan editing. Spread the word! rookandrose.wiki.gg/wiki/Rook_%2...

Well here’s my latest embroidery for you, I can’t quite capture all the shiny threads today but the dress and all those swirls sparkle with gold and the stars shimmer silver…✨ Completely freehand stitched without patterns, guides or paints. 😊🧵🪡🌿 #stitchedart #thesewingsongbird

My latest cartoon for New Scientist.

Meta removed all links to this piece from their platform, then removed links to all Kansas Reflector pieces. When @marisakabas.bsky.social started covering it as a tech censorship story, they removed links to her newsletter, TheHandbasket.Substack.com, as well.

This is such a good book, and an absolute steal at this price! Con artist MC, dream and tarot magic, masked vigilantes, flirting while dancing, glove shenanigans, and that's not even touching on the rich world building and exploration of themes of colonialism, identity and family.

My gingerbread this year... The VLA!!
