Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence finished in 2 days. I had to give it 5 stars. The whole thing was so well written and the characters so beautifully unlikeable there was no other rating I could give. Vicious, gorey and dastardly. Loved it all. My first 5 star for 2025. #FantasyFaction ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿช

Current Reads - 23/02/2025 1. Castle Perilous by John DeChancie (will have to restart this as I've been distracted and have no idea what's happening) 2. King of Thorns by Mark Lawrence (I love the cover art in this trilogy) Has anybody read Castle Perilous? #FantasyFaction ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿช

Current Reads - 26/02/2025 1. Castle Perilous by John DeChancie - DNF'd 2. King of Thorns by Mark Lawrence (still working on this one) 3. Curious Tides by Pascale Lacelle (so far so good) #FantasyFaction ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿช

I found this to be sweet, wholesome and funny. Extra points for the tea serving rituals, which I think are just so fascinating. From the tea selection to the performance. So yes, this was a 4.5/5 for me. It might not be high end writing but it was delightful. #FantasyFaction ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿช

This series is the start of a nostalgia read for the year. I read Morganville Vampires when it was brand new and fell off around book 7. Let's finish it this time! #booksky ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’™ www.behindthepages.org/post/glass-h...

Today I have a book review for Shade of Light by Kimberly Grymes! Readers will find themes of self-acceptance and identity. With an air of mystery and plenty of action, readers will surely enjoy this young adult novel. #booksky #bookreview ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’™ www.behindthepages.org/post/shade-o...

My supervillain power is having multiple library cards from the various places I've lived and using that to optimize my waitlist position on the Libby app.

planning revisions of my gothic novella, and for any fans of the gothic who see this, i'm curious... what are your favorite gothic tropes/elements? least favorites? things you'd like to see more or less of?

Tomorrow! We're going to get to see a beautiful cover for an incredible book, a YA fantasy with incredibly authentic anxiety rep and an original magic system, written by a latinx author. Don't let this flop!!

My scifi book The Wrecking Crew has gone to beta readers today. So excited after my 3rd draft at how this The Expanse/Firefly/Aliens mashup is shaping up. The crew development is tight, the story flowing and the background machinations emerging. And the ending! Boom! #scifibook #scifibooksky ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿช๐Ÿ“š

I guess I can share this, since the story's in editing and will probably come out soon. BEHOLD! The cover for User Not Found, my dystopian censorship eggfic short story. Designed by me, with help from @demongrrl.gay @sophiajt.com Coming soon to itch and elsewhere!

I have the sellsword, the barbarian, and the princeling inside the sorcerer's lair. Now I have to make them tell me what's in there (other than the sorcerer? Maybe?) and they seem resistant. Guess that's tomorrow's work. 1k words today, I'll take it.
