If it looks like a criminal, talks like a criminal, gets convicted 34 times like a criminal, then it’s definitely a criminal.

Israel is such an “apartheid” country that a Bedouin soldier, G’haleb Sliman Alnasasra, died a hero defending it, protecting his Muslim family and his Jewish brothers from terrorism. Alnasasra is survived by his wife and three daughters, ages 13, 7 and 5. Allah yerahmo 💔

Very creative, San Francisco! 8647 ✊

ICE officers are now reportedly required to meet arrest quotas each day, from a few hundred to between 1,200 and 1,500 nationwide. Jonathan Blitzer reports on the mystery of the agency’s unidentifiable arrests.

Have you heard the good news? Folks around the US are speaking out & showing up. This video was taken deep in heart of bright red Yorba Linda in OC, CA! (1 of many OC rallies) THERE WERE HUGE CROWDS ON EVERY CORNER! Make new friends & bring the old, Fight for freedom 'cuz Democracy must hold

🧵1/5 Traverse City had 3 pop up protests 4-19-25. I attended to one in front of NMC (Northern Michigan College). Super well attended! No speakers, just manymotivated people with amazing signs! Thanks to the Traverse Indivisible! First group of photos families and those supporting families. #NoKings

Love this one

New York City. Keep protesting! Keep marching in the streets!

Honestly, me too.

If you’re changing the definition of human rights, it means you plan on violating people’s human rights.

I AM a lawyer And if I were trying the contempt case This might well be Prosecution Exhibit 1

This is getting fewer headlines than it should. After coming to power promising to help working people, the president is revealing his real priorities by actively making it easier for banks to rip people off.

OpenAI’s so-called “reasoning” models generate more falsehoods than their predecessors. Since #LLMs are model language usage and not factual information, it’s built-into their design that they will output false or misleading information. #PhilAI techcrunch.com/2025/04/18/o...

Happy 250th Anniversary of Lexington and Concord from the Supreme Court of the United States

Anyone debating or analyzing Kilmar Abrego Garcia's life or record is doing a grave disservice. He could be El Chapo. He could be Charles Manson. He could be the Dalai Lama. It doesn't matter. What has happened to him and others is clearly a violation of America's core laws and principles.

Three decades after Oklahoma City I’m inspired by the memory of the nation rallying around that community, and I mourn for the extraordinary loss of 168 public servants, parents, siblings, and young children. Holding those who survived and those who we lost in my heart today.

250 years ago today America began its march toward independence at the Battles of Lexington and Concord. The battles marked “No Kings Day, Part I.” Today millions of Americans will take part in “No Kings Day, Part II.”

This guy is great at this, and thank god.

CARTOON OF THE DAY (From @dccartoonist.bsky.social )

"On Tyranny" is a #1 NYT bestseller again. I wish the moment were different. But I’m glad the book is useful. And grateful for all the kind words about putting the 20 lessons to work. snyder.substack.com/p/twenty-les...

Maybe we should honor the women who were real astronauts. From left to right are Shannon W. Lucid, Margaret Rhea Seddon, Kathryn D. Sullivan, Judith A. Resnik, Anna L. Fisher, and Sally K. Ride. NASA selected all six women as their first female astronaut candidates in January 1978.

Punch a bully in the nose and see what happens

Re: U.S. CECOT detainees, the main q is NOT 'did they ever allegedly commit a crime?' Rather: Is the US allowed to deliver them into lifetime imprisonment in a notorious Salvadoran prison camp without charge, trial, sentencing, or consideration of international/asylum/anti-torture law? Clearly no!

This is not normal. This government gets closer and closer every day to declaring war on its own people. This post is a clear and direct statement of intention to defy the Supreme Court and end rule of law in the United States.

It turns out a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist and financial fraudster does not make for a good President.

Don't let America's last words be "We didn't think it could happen here"

Keep standing up to the bullies. Don’t comply in advance and never bend the knee. It’s going to take all of us to make it through this.

Van Hollen: "This case is not only about one man, as important as that is. It is about protecting fundamental freedoms and the fundamental principle in the Constitution for due process that protects everyone who resides in America."

We are only rivals in good times. In times like these, we are “all-for-one, and one-for-all.” My heart is with our precious Noles and their families💔💔💔 Too many of these survivors are also survivors of Parkland.
